For the second straight year, the Houston Texans had a double-digit lead over the Indianapolis Colts. Just like 2008, the Texans couldn't hold on.Indianapolis outscored Houston 28-7 in the second half -- and 35-10 after a slow start -- to knock off the Texans, 35-27 at Reliant Stadium Sunday. The win moved the Colts to 11-0 under rookie head coach Jim Caldwell.
Houston jumped to a 17-0 lead in the second quarter, and nearly made it 21-0. However, wide receiver Andre Johnson couldn't hold on to a pass in the end zone, and the door was left slightly open for the Colts.
Peyton Manning threw a touchdown pass to Pierre Garcon to make it 17-7, and Kris Brown added a field goal for Houston before halftime.
It was all Indianapolis in the second half, though. Manning added two more scores, the defense chipped in a pick-six on Matt Schaub, and the Colts rang up 28 unanswered points before a late Schaub touchdown pass pulled Houston back within eight.
Manning overcame two interceptions to help his team to an 11-0 start. No matter what happens Monday night in New Orleans, the 1972 Miami Dolphins now know that the champagne will be on ice for at least one more week.

Nice try Houston. You played a pretty good 1st half but seemed to have left the stadium after that. Way to go COLTS!!!!! Way to overcome lots of adversity and get a great win!!!
Are you kidding me?! Pass interference... not. Roughing the quarterback(Manning)... swatting at the ball?? The Zebras will not be happy until Manning brothers win every title.... even if it is given to them. Payton has played like s###, 2 int. for the last 3 games, and we are saying he is GREAT?? Papa Archie has greased a lot of pockets.
Way to go Colts, anyone really surprised? This is a team with alot of great talent, and can still overcome anything that has been thrown at them week after week. Thanks Peyton and crew for a great game!
You sure got that right Freddi. All I heard was how and why the Colts were going to lose today. Taking nothing away from Houston because they have a talented team, but the Colts went out and did what they do. And that is WIN!!!!
Feel bad for Houston, you guys were CHEATED, there was no way they should of called pass interference against you in the 3rd quarter. This call totally changed the momentum and outcome of this game.
DITTO
Here's a tissue Tina and one for you mmcgrade. Sore losers. The Colts spotted the Texans 17 points and still beat 'em. It amazes me how "sore losers" always blame the officiating. Read up on the rules before making stupid remarks. When a receiver can't move his arm to catch a ball because the defender is grabbing his arm and not allowing him to do so....that is pass interference! And it is PEYTON, Tina, not Payton!!
Oh and Tina....the roughing the passer call was because of the defensive lineman's hand to the facemask of Peyton. Like I said before, stop blaming the officials and learn the rules of the game before making stupid comments!!
