Needless to say, if the Steelers are playing, there's going to be a lot of fans with Pittsburgh-ties in the area. Their Week 2 game in Chicago, a 17-14, loss was no different, and one fan, 46-year-old Zack Eddinger, claims he was poisoned (and blinded) in a Chicago bar after an altercation with a group of Bears fans.
According to WTAE in Pittsburgh, Heddinger said his friends were involved in some trash talk with a group of Bears fans, and eventually the Bears fans offered a drink as a "peacemaker."
That's when Heddinger claims things started to go terribly wrong.

Not long after taking the drink, Heddinger passed out and was rushed to a nearby hospital, his heart stopping four times.According to the report, doctors believe the drink may have been spiked with toxic grain alcohol, while Heddinger added: "I don't think they tried to kill me. I think they tried to hurt me, but the killing came pretty close."
At first, doctors thought he had too much to drink, but realized there was more to it.
"They thought it was antifreeze or something like that ...because it was so strong," said Heddinger.
Heddinger's family rushed to Chicago to be with him after doctors told them he wasn't going to make.
"I literally watched him say, within a matter of hours, 'I'm getting really scared. I can't see anything,'" said sister Lisa.

This is the problem with people these days, too many haters and not enough fans. I am a Steelers fan, and as such there are a few teams that I do not like : browns, bengals, ravens, cowboys, patriots. But I do not hate any team. I enjoy watching my team win, but when they loose I don't hate the winning team. We as a people need to embrace being a fan and stop all of the hate. It's only a game, treat it as such.
Well said. I am a life-long Steeler fan. I witnessed first hand the Steelers beating the Steelers in Chicago. Yes, the Steelers beating the Steelers in Chicago (it wasn't the Bears winning-however, the Bears took advantage of Steeler mistakes-Jeff Reed didn't help much) It takes a true fan to stand by your team through thick and thin-through winning and losing seasons and good and bad games. There's nothing very pretty about grudge-holding, big mouthed, sore losers...like samuelcrum and Padin-grow up and stop acting like immature jerks! Seems as if you need professional help!

Actually the Sideline bar in Factoria (just outside Seattle) is a Steeler bar. Steeler Nation is everywhere - get used to it. Pittsburgh has 6 Superbowl trophies. Seahawks 0.
the one thing i like about pitt. teams is they all have the same team colors, yellow & black, kinda neat. even the pittsburgh pipers of the old aba had them.
