The Buffalo Bills have fired head coach Dick Jauron, the team announced on Tuesday, bringing to an end a coaching tenure in Buffalo that yielded nothing but losing seasons. The firing, which was first reported by Jason La Canfora of NFL Network, comes in the midst of a disappointing season in Buffalo, and two days after the Bills lost 41-17 to the Tennessee Titans, dropping their record to 3-6.

Bills owner Ralph Wilson said the following in a statement released by the team:
"I am announcing today that I am relieving Dick Jauron from his duties as our head coach, effective immediately. I have tremendous respect for Dick and thank him for all of his efforts during these past four years. While this was a very difficult decision, I felt that it is one that needed to be made at this time for the best interest of our team. We will now focus on moving forward and preparing for our game this week in Jacksonville."The Bills announced Thursday night that defensive coordinator Perry Fewell would serve as interim head coach.
Jauron became the Bills' head coach in 2006, and the Bills went 7-9 in each of his first three seasons. Bills owner Ralph Wilson said this year that he was expecting a big turnaround, and he opened up his wallet for some expensive free-agent signings, including wide receiver Terrell Owens. But it hasn't worked, and now Jauron is out of work.He previously served as the head coach of the Chicago Bears and the interim head coach of the Detroit Lions. His overall record as a coach is 60-82.

PLEASE NFL, CONTRACT THE FOLLOWING TEAMS ASAP.
1.BILLS 2.BROWNS 3.RAMS 4.LIONS
thats funny
Uhm, you clearly know nothing about football, or sports for that matter.
Contracting teams because they are BAD will never happen. This is because the only "winning" and "losing" that NFL owners care about is MONEY. Two of the teams you mentioned are generally lucrative teams, despite being bad... The Rams and Browns...
About Time Ralph, Now please get rid of Russ Brandon and get a real GM in Buffalo.
Excuse me!! Owner expected a big turn around, hey did he see what teams Jauron had coached before. Bears and Lions. What did you expect?
I remember when the Bears use to be an INCREDIBLE TEAM! Remember Refridgerator Perry?? In the day's of Steve Grogan and my INCREDIBLE Patriot's,(don't get me started on sunday's game!) we played them one year, and they kicked the piss out of us by 20 points!!
Now if Fewell has the guts to bench Owens for at least one game until he learns to practice so he knows where to line up and how to try to catch a pass, that would be another step in the right direction.
I'm so glad the Cowboys are free of "B.O." His antics on and off the feild are more than any team should endure.
I agree and I live in Buffalo
When I saw the headline of this article I thought that the Browns finally got rid of the idiot they hired for a coach. He couldn't win when he coached the Jets. What was Lerner thinking?????Must not be my lucky day. Anyway, I want to apologize to all the NFL fans who wasted 3.5 hours of their lives watching Cleveland high school play the Baltimore Ravens last night.
LOL !! The exact same thing I thought....and hoped for!!
Very funny comment Cleveland fan. You have great fans in Cleveland. As soon as you realize that Mangini is a jets stooge and can him, you will be able to rebuild a winner. It's too bad the great draft pick you will get for such a poor season is already earmarked for the jets. I guess fat boys (manboobs and Ryan) stick together.
Coaches don't play the game. I am a Browns fan and I want to fire the players too!
CLEVELAND HAS AN NFL TEAM??!!
The first of many to fall
Dang I was hoping this was a Browns thread.
If you expected a big turn around, they why did you sign crybaby Terreble owens???
The curse of Terrel Owens continues. Dallas, Philly, and now Buffalo. The Bills only have 1 fan left.Nutcase Swami from ESPN.
yeah, the curse of to. one of the top recievers in the league put on a horrible team with no real qb. and it is his fault they have a losing season. right. this guy was a great offensive weapon for The 49ers, The Eagles and The Cowboys. One of my favorite moments in football was when he was when he played for san fran. he scored a td against the cowboys and walked to mid field and put the ball on the star. funny and it pissed dallas off. i haven't really been a to fan ever since he got out of the contract with baltimore, but i still respect the guy and i was hoping baltimore was going to get him before the trade deadline
GOOD!!! Now maybe the Packers will hire to coach the defence!!!
