As usual, Joey Porter's done a lot of talking this season. But unlike past seasons, when Porter's been able to back up his mouth with production on the field, the Miami linebacker hasn't produced many results.Porter has just 12 tackles and 2 1/2 sacks -- one year after recording a career-high 17 1/2 sacks -- and Dolphins coach Tony Sparano has opted to bench Porter for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay.
Porter declined to talk to the media this week, a vast change in approach for one of the NFL's most vocal players. Just last week, Porter called the Patriots cheaters in reference to the Spygate scandal, and said that Tom Brady received preferential treatment from referees. The Dolphins then lost to New England, 27-17, with Porter recording no tackles.
Despite that, Sparano had only good things to say about Porter's approach following Miami's practice Friday.
"I see no frustration," Sparano said, according to the Associated Press. "What I do see is a guy that's played in enough football games to know, 'There are some things I need to do better out there.' There are a lot of things that people say about Joey that are not always favorable, but one of the good things about Joey is the guy's a pretty good pro. He takes it personally. The guy cares."
Porter played every game in his first two seasons with Miami after coming over from Pittsburgh following the 2006 campaign. He sat out Miami's Oct. 4 game against Buffalo with a sore hamstring, and that injury has lingered all season.
Charlie Anderson is the prime candidate to replace Porter in the starting lineup, though former CFL star Cameron Wake could also get his first shot to start.

You are the idiot, for if was not for spygate Brady would not be the quarterback he is right now. See having the defense said to you when you walk up to the line is a huge advantage both in the game and in learning the quarterback position. It helped him learn how to read defenses and he is still using his ability to read defenses right now.
You talk about growing up and losing like a man. The Pat should do that, they acted immoral by using the tapes of other teams to get an unfair competitive advantage. It is being a man calling people out when they are not doing the right thing. It is a man to remind people of their actions so they will not do it again. Coach Belichick talks about honor and integrity. Good talk but his actions do not follow them. Where is the honor in taping and stealing the other team signs? Where is the integrity in not being a man and admitting the wrong doing he did with spygate? This is what bothers me the most about it if he would not talk about honor and integrity it would not be as bad. If he did not try to have a charade about doing things the right way it would not be as bad. It is hypocritical.
Another thing I notice one thing you did not post about after spygate, how many Super Bowls the Pats won. Oh yes none.
The only reason the Pats havent won anymore Superbowls is Brady was hurt last year or else they would of taken it all last year too.You really believe that Pittsburgh would of won if Brady didnt get hurt C,MON. They went 11-5 with a QB that didnt play since High School. I bet that was because of Spygat too.As far as the Spygate thing everyone knew that the Pats were taping the games for years. The Packers even threw the guy out 2 years before all of this came out. When they showed the tapes on ESPN you could see the coaches for the opposing teams waving to the camera. But some sore losers that are full of jealousy still claim it was an advantage. Grow Up, They didnt even play the teams that they beat in the Superbowls during the regular season so how could taping other teams games have any affect whatsoever on the 3 Superbowl wins. If you really believe that the opposing teams werent aware of the taping you are just plain STUPID and your whole team must be STUPID and they deserve to lose.By the way it it still legal to tape opposing teams you just cant do it from the sideline but you can do it from anywhere in the stands. With my little Sony Camcorder with zoom I can tape all the opposing tams calls and plays to this day with the same results as if on the sidelines. What a Joke,just like Porter!

In addition it adds nothing to the conversation and just shows you have no valid points to defend the cheating actions of your team. It also doesn’t take the taint away from the Super Bowl victory.
Also, it is the New England Patriots not the New England Packers. You talk about the Packers firing one guy two years before spygate. It doesn’t matter the Pats threw out one guy two years before spygate for they kept on taping after he left. Also we prolong halftime and being able to look at the tape during the game people could break the code in the signs. So your point of them not playing the teams they beat in the Super Bowl invalid.
Now spygate is about typing the coaches on the sideline not the players. This was and still is illegal. So your grand defense is people knew they were cheating so that makes it alright and if they didn’t know then it is alright for they got away with it.
