The hype for Brett Favre's return to Green Bay was inevitable as soon as he made his decision to return for yet another NFL season, this with the Minnesota Vikings. It's now officially out of hand as Brett returns to Wisconsin. Is all this anticlimactic? After all, Favre already has faced the Packers -- at the Metrodome in Week Four, quarterbacking the Vikings to a 30-23 win. In a Monday night game, no less.
But yes, this is something else -- a return to the place Favre played for 16 seasons and led the Packers to two Super Bowls, winning one and getting them to the brink of several others. A hero turned -- in the eyes of numerous Green Bay fans -- into a traitor.
While the media hypes everything it can -- Fox will have a "Favre cam'' -- it' should be noted that this is an important game, especially for Green Bay. The Vikings are 6-1, the Packers 4-2, so a Minnesota win puts it two games ahead in the loss column plus a tiebreak in the NFC North; a Green Bay win makes them even there.
Green Bay is favored by three points -- for that home-field advantage. Favre and the Vikings lost last week for the first time -- in Pittsburgh, a tough venue because of some freaky bounces and a bad call.

As long as you guys talk about Brett Favre, I'll give my two cents worth. I think this is a lot more than just whether the Vikings will take a comfortable lead in the North with a win. Ted Thompson's and Mike McCarthy's Packer have had a losing record since Brett left. Many of us have said it is because MM booted Brett out. They have a tough schedule from here on out. They lost to Farve once already. If they lose again, and I think they will, Ted Thompson should do the graceful thing and resign his position. If he won't, then Murphy should do what is best for the organization and fire him.

It's time to make a change in GB. The way the coach handled the Favre removal was bad and the coach should go including Ted you know the guy in charge of everything.

As much as I want the Vikes to win, I think Green Bay will pull this one out. Bad feeling the offensive line won't show up & Brett will see alot of the grass! Chances of the secondary showing up is very slim too! (Damn those guys!!) My guess: Packers 34 / Vikes 27. Hope the score is the other way around!

You know they're coming hard after Brett. The O line has to protect him. And Peterson has to show up. I think Brett and the Vikings know what they have to do. They already beat the Packers and have a better record, so the momentum is on their side.

Since I won huge in Vegas last weekend by taking the Steelers and giving the points, I'm going to give another easy pic this weekend. The Packers are favored by 3. Hours earlier, I took the Packers and gave the 3 & went over the 47 points. (Not necessary to explain why if you graduated the 5th grade!) The NFL is going to want to keep this a continued rivalry within this division. Expect to hear all the media rant on and on and on and on about the rivalry with the Packers & the Vikings. As for my wins this year on betting, I'm kicking ass!! How about you??
