Still missing wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez because of a knee injury, the Colts' offense suffered another setback Sunday at St. Louis when running back Donald Brown exited Indianapolis' game with a first-half injury. Receiver Reggie Wayne also left, limping off with a groin injury, but returned after halftime. On the other side of the ball, defensive back Bob Sanders, who continues to make his case for "Most Fragile Player in the NFL", walked to the locker room with a trainer early in the fourth quarter.
Even with all the injury issues, Indianapolis smoked St. Louis, 42-6, to move to 6-0 on the year.
Brown had two carries for 58 yards, but left after his second run -- a 13-yarder -- with a strained left shoulder after taking a hard hit on his arm. He immediately went to the sideline and appeared to be in a substantial amount of pain.
Both Brown and Wayne were initially listed as questionable to return, but Wayne rejoined the Colts' offense after halftime. Brown stayed in the locker room for extra treatment. Joseph Addai led the Colts with 62 carries on the season, heading into Sunday, but Brown had 44. The only other running back to rush the ball was Chad Simpson, who had just three attempts.
Sanders, meanwhile, was making his 2009 debut after a knee injury sidelined him for Indianapolis' first six games. Sanders only played six games in 2008, four games in 2006, and has been simply unable to stay on the field.

Bob Sanders is his own worst enemy, because he feels being a little guy he has to go all out and sacrifice himself on every play. He's not fragile, but when you try to give more than your body can withstand play after play somethings gotta give. It makes for a shorter but more spectacular career.

he wasn't hurt sunday. this is like his preseason. he was on a snap count and he took the amount of snaps they wanted him to play, took him to the back to see how his knee held up. he said (as well as caldwell and others) there was no swelling or pain. he also mentioned that this is the first time in a long time that he has not had that feeling. i do agree tho, he is his enemy. but if you take his playing style away, he wont be himself so i think it's a catch 22. it also could be with how he's rehabbing. maybe coming back to quick, etc.

You might want to check out your story Sanders wasn't hurt he left the game because it was in hand, and he'd reached his pitch count. There was no swelling at the half or at the end of the game. The test will be when he got up this morning. As for it being time for him to quit, get real nothing lifts the Colts D like one of his snot bubbling hits. Yes his hits make him injury prone and Irsay knew that when he gave him the big bucks. I stick with Polian and Irsay for making player decisions not you morons including the writer of this lame story

If you're going to write a blog (or whatever this crap is), atleast get your facts straight. Sanders wasn't injured. He hasn't played a game in almost a full-year, and was going back to the locker room to check out his knee and put ice on it.
He said its the first time in a while his knee hasn't bothered him after a game.

The NFL just tries to make us think Manning is doing it all with half his ream missing so they can call him the MVP....Truth be told Manning is good but he has some of the best players in the NFL helping him.
I heard the other day how he has to carry that team...PLEASE!!!
