Jeff Fisher says Kerry Collins is still his quarterback, and the Titans players are steering clear of the subject. But if you're Vince Young, you have to think that your second chance isn't too far away.Tennessee is 0-4 with the Colts and the Patriots coming up next on the schedule. Considering that Matt Schaub, Ben Roethlisberger and David Garrard have all thrown for more than 300 yards against Tennessee, how many yards will Peyton Manning and Tom Brady combine for through the air? 800? 900?
The Titans' 0-4 start can be blamed more on their pass defense and special teams mistakes than Collins, but a quarterback with a 68.9 quarterback rating and more interceptions (6) than touchdowns (5) will have to take some of the blame if Tennessee falls to 0-6.
More than that, Collins will turn 37 at the end of this season. If Tennessee isn't going to be a playoff team (and at 0-4 with the Colts and Patriots next, the window is closing before their eyes) it makes no sense to keep giving snaps to the quarterback of the present. Vince Young's cap hit for 2010 on his current contract makes it unlikely he'll be back in Tennessee without a renegotiated contract, but by giving him playing time, Tennessee would be able to make a much more informed decision on whether to bring him back in 2010.
Tennessee's not there yet, but with another loss or two, it would be time to see what No. 10 can do -- which is a sentence I never thought I'd write before the season began.

So the defence gives up 34, 24, and 37 points in their last 3 games and its the Quarterbacks fault, not only that but your solution to this problem is to start Vince Young.
Please please stop.

If you would read the article, it says Collins has a QB rating of 68.9, and has 6 INT's already. Maybe theres a reason the defense is giving up so many pts per game? Probably because Collins keeps turning over the damn ball!

The titans should turn to vince young? I agree. That way, they can keep their winless streak going!

Look at the bright side. There will be some good college quarter backs going in the nfl draft next year. At the rate the titans are playing, they are sure to have a early pick!

Changing quarterbacks could possibily address the issue as to why Tennessee isn't putting up many points, but what is your solution for why there's points steadily going up on the board against Tennessee...Surely that's not the quarterback fault is it.??? You can put any quarterback you want behind the center and he can consistantly score 40 points a game but if your defense is giving up 42 points a game...then what.??? It's just a thought..

Believe it or not, I predicted this way before preseason. Vince Young may not be the solution to the Titans but come on...Kerry Collins? He had a good year last year but he is no Brett Farve. I did not think the Titans were as good as their 13-3 year indicated and their playoff success proved that. While Haynesworth had a good, starter ready backup, who's the new guys backup now? These are big guys that have to be spelled often so they are fresh in the 4th quarter. Too much drop off now. Plus, tougher schedule and now they do not seem to be getting the breaks. My prediction last summer was that by game 6, Kerry Collins would either be hurt or non-productive and Vince Young would get his job back. He can make a difference in a lot of unconventional ways. Bottom line is a QB must convert on 3rd down...even if that means getting it yourself. And yes, poor offensive play does translate to defenses giving up more points. There is less time on the sidelines to look at what the other offense is doing to you and discuss how to defense them. Three and outs and turnovers interupt your preperation. Defense goes right back out there making the same mistakes they did on the last series.

The curse of the towel is upon your rotten souls!
You disrespected Myron Cope and the battle flag of the Steelers! By doing so a terrible loosing streak has been your fate 0-6 since your foolish players stomped the sacred icon!!!

As far as Vince young goes, trade him...what a waste of money and while your at it seeing that Fisher would rather be a mamma instead of a coach let him go with him...We need a coach who's not afraid to stick his foot up a players butt or bench himn if he sux.
