The NFL FanHouse team is putting its prediction skills to the test with a little friendly survivor pick 'em league. Each week, every competitor will choose one NFL winner, keeping in mind that you can't pick the same team more than once during the year. But it's a dangerous game: Get one wrong, and you're out.Byes are back on the schedule in Week 4. It's the first time this season that not every team is in action.
While it's tempting to pick the Cardinals, Falcons, Eagles or Panthers, that will not help you win. You have to pick teams that are playing, folks. Just ask my friend No-pick Ned. That's how he lost last year. And how he earned the nickname No-pick Ned.

Knox Bardeen -- Bears over Lions - Asking the Lions to win two weeks in a row after such a long losing streak seems silly to me. Especially when you're asking them to travel into hostile territory to do so.
Bruce Ciskie -- Vikings over Packers. Everything else so far has gone the way of the Silver Fox, why not this?
JJ Cooper -- 49ers over Rams. Wish I could pick the Giants but I've already used them up, so we'll count on the struggles of the Rams.
Nancy Gay -- Giants over Chiefs. Mark me down for Giants!
49ers over Rams. I don't remember why. Typically I pick a home team, non-divisional matchup against a sorry opponent. So that's probably the reason.
-- Stephanie Stradley
David Goldberg -- Giants over Chiefs. Without really looking.
Michael Katz -- Giants over Chiefs. The Chiefs could be experiencing separation anxiety with Tyler Thigpen now in Miami. Not to mention they are a bad football team.
Tom Mantzouranis -- Texans over Raiders. Because they brought back a really vital piece of the offense last week in Kevin Walter, and Oakland is falling apart at the seams (isn't that always the case?). Plus, I don't want Stephanie to cry.
Matt Snyder -- Bears over Lions. You could say it's a homer pick, but I really don't think so. Coming home off a game where they won but didn't play well, and the Lions are due for a let down after their victory.
Stephanie Stradley -- 49ers over Rams. I don't remember why. Typically I pick a home team, non-divisional matchup against a sorry opponent. So that's probably the reason.
