Comments from Titans fullback Ahmard Hall have eliminated any doubt. One of the running themes of this year's NFL season is going to be trash talk and the New York Jets. Up until this point, the Jets have been the ones running their mouths with the explicit approval of new coach Rex Ryan, but it was inevitable that some of it would get lobbed back in their direction. We thought it happened last week, but it turned out to be a fake Rodney Harrison doing the tweeting. Now, though, we've got our first actual return of fire. Hall isn't a fan of Jets linebacker Bart Scott's running on-field commentary. On the eve of this Sunday's game, Hall told Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean exactly why.
"It is serious to me. I wouldn't fight the guy or nothing like that -- unless he wanted to fight. I don't like the guy. He just runs his mouth all the time, even when he is not doing anything in the play. He is a talker and I just like guys that go out there and get their job done."On the list of people you don't want to fight in the NFL, Hall is right at the top of the list. Before going to Texas, Hall spent four years in the Marine Corps and left as a Sergeant after a tour of duty in Afghanistan. A lot of players talk tough, but few have those kinds of bona fides.
Scott laughed off Hall's comments, but had nothing but good things to say about Hall as a player during a conference call during the week. Ryan weighed in during a chat with reporters yesterday.
"Hey, bring it on. Nobody likes Bart. That's the beauty of it. Only his teammates like Bart. Trust me, Bart will be more than happy to accommodate him."The best thing about the chatfest is that we'll actually see it play out on the field. Hall and Scott figure to butt heads early and often as the Titans try to get Chris Johnson going in an attempt to slow down the Jets defense. It's unlikely to lead to a fight, but it should make a key matchup even more entertaining than it would be otherwise.

And who did your Jets played, vilgeo209? New England? Don't let Rex Ryan's philosophy brainwashing you. The reality is, he didn't beat the Pittsburgh Steelers last year, three times

Rex Ryan is just like his Dad. He has a big mouth, and can't back it up. The Jet's are a flasj in the pan; WILL self-destruct, will NOT beat the Saints, and will maybe find the playoffs. Sanchez is hot now, but he is overrated and will either get hurt or run out of steam. So, yeah, enjoy your 15 minutes of fame Jets fans. It won't last.

Hey, all of you Patriot fans are forgetting one thing, your recent good fortune, superbowls, winning streaks, Tom Brady, and all you know as the current NE team was a product the JETS. Bill Belichick was our defensive coordinator just like Rex was the Ravens. Bill made your team what it is today and Rex Ryan and his defensive scheme in the form of the Ravens was one of the few that kicked your butts in the playoffs when you did face him. So before you get high and might and expect Jet fans to bow down and "kiss you SB rings" just remember that you have Bill Parcells and the Jets to thank for pissing Bill Belichick off enough to make him resign as the Jets head coach and sign with you long time owner Mr Craft. You do have something to worry about because what goes around comes around! Its payback time for the Jets.

Sean Payton says "History has told us there will be four to six new playoff teams this season. Who are this year's Atlanta Falcons, Miami Dolphins, Baltimore Ravens or Arizona Cardinals? If I had to choose one non-playoff team from last season that has a chance to make it into the 2009 postseason it would be the New York Jets. I think Rex Ryan will do a great job of creating a culture that lends itself to winning. I also love Mark Sanchez as a young quarterback prospect. We will find out soon enough."
