I feel that this man got screwed! my daughter who was 8 when she was raped at the age of 8 on her birthdays perp got time served after being in jail for 8 months. He was found guilty and later incarcerated for not registering for about 8 months.

That being said, (and for the record, I am semi liberal, and am strong anti-gun on the gun issue) I feel that he was used as an example because he is an NFL player. On the heels of Vick and Jones, they decided to get tough. I think that perhaps the people of the community would better be served with him paying a fine and community service. Have him get out there and do gun safety and control lectures to the at risk youth. How much time did Vick do for his heinous crime? Our judicial system boggles my mind sometimes.
