File this one under things you don't see everyday. In the second quarter of Sunday night's Giants-Cowboys tilt, Kenny Phillips came through with one of the more insane interceptions you'll ever see in your life. As you can see on the replay (which is below), Tony Romo's pass is behind Jason Witten. After contacting Witten's hand, the ball went directly off his heel and into the arms of Phillips, who took the ball to the house. The on-field ruling was incomplete, so the touchdown wasn't allowed. After booth review, though, the Giants were properly rewarded the football. Check out the video of this play after the jump.
Pretty cool, huh? Click here for a lesser quality picture, but a highlight that more clearly shows the ball hitting Witten's foot. You gotta give extra kudos to Phillips for having the presence of mind and the ability to realize the ball was still live. Of course, players grab dead balls and start running all the time, so it's entirely possible he had no idea what happened and just took off with the ball in a sell-job. Regardless, he's now one interception richer.

Although I am a life long Giants fan, I never comment here about their games but couldn't resist this time. The difference between the Cowboys and Giants, both are playoff caliber teams is that teh Cowboys are quarterbacked by Tony Romo and the Giants have Eli Manning...that's the difference. If you doubted his talent when he ended the Patriots' run in the Super Bowl, you had to be a believer tonight.
In the final two minutes he was masterful. And of course Wade Phillips pulls the bush league Mike Shanahan move by TRYING to ice/freeze Tynes and had to live through the agony of watching the ball go through the uprights, TWICE. The
Cowboys are already playing for a wild card slot after the season's second week, clearly, even though they couldn't punch it in inside the red zone -- which with Jacobs and Bradshaw is only temporary -- the Giants are clearly the class of the NFC East. Anyone doubt it?
And after spending $1.150 billion dollars, how would you like to be Jerry Jones right now?

I saw a great game with the BALL taking funny twist and turns and unfortunately the Giants benifitted from 4 such balls. Before you say the Giant recievers are that good, I saw those same recievers drop several balls right in their hands. Sure Romo threw 3 interceptions but 2 were tipped ( one was kicked upwards). The Giants score 24 points off 4 take aways ( or should I say gimmies). Boys played good but their own errors cost them. Please don't give me this crap about how the Giants kicked butt. You could tell it was going to come down to who had the ball last. Good Good entertaining game.

The cowboys will not get better with the staff they have. The play calling is terrible Romo cant make the throws our secondary is a JOKE hIGH SCHOOL kids can cover better than that we control that game when we ran the ball we got away from that again our play calling is BAD. we want deion to come out of retirement we need him BAD.

As an Englishman watching the game, i must say that I enjoyed it despite the fact that I don't understand the finer points. I was puzzled as to why the touchown was disallowed for the interception when Phillips took the rebound from Wittens foot. Will see my first live game on Saturday, got the hat and the shirt and really looking forward to it.

Tony Romo is the Cowboy problem. He does not possess the skills to play for a high pressure team. The Cowboys really should start looking for a replacement. Send Romo away he's going to continue to embrass Cowboy fans. He's not a big game QB. He lost that game for Dallas. It looks like he's going to repeat two year ago. Blowing big games.

tony homo, is the problem,if you watch the dallas games ,everytime theres a big game, that dallas needs to win,a pressure game, homo chokes up,he has been doing this for 3 years now, git rid of him, cant depend on a qb like this, hes no number 12 and no number 8 hes more like number 11,choke choke ,choke i think i can find a few guys around my corner here in columbus ohio, that will play better as a qb than homo.
