Greg Jennings spent his first two years in the NFL catching passes from legendary quarterback Brett Favre. During the second of those seasons, he began to blossom into one of the top playmakers in the NFL. Favre started finding Jennings with the deep ball, and Jennings responded by averaging 17 yards per catch and scoring 12 times. Now that Favre is (maybe) on the verge of signing with division rival Minnesota, Jennings doesn't seem too concerned about the matter.
While working out with some NFL players on the University of Minnesota campus, Jennings took time out to talk to Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. He told Zulgad that he doesn't care about Favre playing for the Vikings.
"I'm like, 'Let him go.' To each his own. We're focused on what we're doing in Green Bay and if he shows up in that purple jersey then he's the enemy now."On a team that has been very measured in their discussion about the Favre topic, this is probably about as pointed as you'll hear. For the most part, the Packers seem content to keep a low-key approach. The coaching staff and management have done a good job the last two summers preparing the players for the kind of questioning they will hear from reporters. Favre becoming a Viking by the start of training camp could create a bit of a circus in Green Bay, but it won't be anything like last year.
But nothing will change. The Packers won't take any shots at their former leader, and they'll preach full confidence in second-year starter Aaron Rodgers. It mimics the stance taken from the top of the team's food chain all the way down.
Jennings also told Zulgad there would be "no excuses" this season, that it was up to the Packers to make themselves an improved team.
We know what we have as a team. We can't keep using the fact that we're a young ballclub. We're going to always be a young ballclub until we grow up someday and so we're growing up. It's all on us."Green Bay went 6-10 a year ago, but the offense was largely effective, ranking inside the top ten of most major offensive categories. Jennings set career highs in receptions and receiving yards.

Bruce, I think this is just another round of "The boss wants me to say....". Hardly worth repeating.
What would be interesting is for you or some of your readers to respond to a "what if" scenario. We all know that Aaron Rodgers has been injury prone, including last year. What if Aaron goes down of a number of weeks during the season? Since the Packers don't have a veteran backup, they have to rely on their inexperienced backups or go after a veteran during the season. How do you think this will affect the game plan? In Jennings' case, and the other wide outs, how do you think this will affect their stats? Do you think the team as a whole will be able to be a viable team without their starter?
Ciske is still trashing Favre...how about
focusing on some other player...anyone that
reads your report knows you don't like Favre...
this isn't the first one....you probably wouldn't
know what to write if you had another subject....
take a break or go on a vacation...maybe that is
what you need..............
Take a vacation Ciske...you sound like you
could use one...all you can write about is
trashing Favre....
