NASHVILLE, Tenn.(AP) -- Police say the gun found at the scene where former NFL star Steve McNair died was bought by his girlfriend less than two days before the two were shot to death.Nashville police spokesman Don Aaron said Monday that 20-year-old Sahel Kazemi bought the semiautomatic handgun Thursday evening from a person he didn't name.
An autopsy showed that McNair and Kazemi died early Saturday. He was shot four times and his death has been ruled a homicide. She was shot once and Aaron said police are still waiting for ballistic and gunpowder residue tests before deciding if she was slain or committed suicide.
Aaron said that as far as he knows McNair was not with Kazemi when she got the gun.

Sounding more and more like a murder-suicide, my guess is that she found out that he in fact was not divorcing his wife. Or he was trying to break off the relationship and she flipped out.

This is so true. She shot McNair for being rejected and knew she was facing prison time, so what do you do next, shoot yourself. Ray Charles could see through this windex. It happened and the media wants to keep stalling about it and for whose purpose. It happened now lets get on to other positive newsworthy things in life.

YOU'RE EXACTLY RIGHT. HE WAS HAVING AN AFTERNOON DELIGHT AND SHE FOUND OUT THAT'S ALL IT WAS. WHEN HE TOLD HER HE WAS NOT LEAVING HIS WIFE, THAT HE HAD TO MUCH TO LOSE, SHE PULLED THAT GUN AND RELATED NOT TODAY OR EVERMORE.

Why should Michael Vick be shot in the head? He does not have anthing to do with this. You must be a dog lover.....No one deserves to be shot in the head, not a man who cheats or a dog fighter.

I love a good story like this. There are consequences to everything you do where other people are concerned and these consequences dont give a shit if it doesnt fit into your idea of retribution. Pop your nut wherever you want but remember you might have to face having a cap poped into you for your little indiscretions.

Debra, How could SHE do this. What about him cheating on his wife with a 20 year old ?? No one deserves to die, but he put himself in that position.

I was wondering that as well Debra. It would be hard to believe that this was the first time she did something this extreme-were there warning signs that have been ignored? Seems like there are a lot of murder suicides lately.

No one deserves to be shot to death for "cheating"! At some point in this country, we are going to have to decide what to do about the accessibility of firearms!
Love and prayers to both families.

Hmmm...if this 20-year old bought a handgun, she violated Federal and Tennessee gun control laws to do so. You have to be 21 to legally purchase a handgun in the United States, as well as pass the "instant background check" required for any firearm purchase from a dealer. This gun was either bought from a private individual, which is still a Federal crime since she was under 21, or it was purchased for her by someone else which is also a Federal crime (known as a "strawman purchase"). I liked McNair as a player and don't know much about him personally. I would like to learn how she came to own this handgun and see whomever bought it for her or sold it to her prosecuted. Of course, it may turn out that Steve McNair bought it for her and he's dead so he can't be prosecuted.

it is not that hard to buy a hand gun you only need to find someone that is selling his or her personal hand gun or a dealer that is willing to by pass the law

Just wanted to let everyone thats talking about the sale of a handgun to a 20 Y/O know that you're incorrect when you say it was an illegal purchase. It's illegal for someone under the age of 21 to be sold a handgun or handgun ammunition by a FFL Dealer.(Federal Firearms Licensed) However, its perfectly legal for someone over the age of 18 to purchase a handgun from a 3rd party or given one as a gift. So basically anyone over the age of 18 can purchase a handgun, just not ammunition. Not trying to stir things up here, just thought I would share a bit of information that is commonly misunderstood.

money talks, BS walks..........anyone can get a handgun, laws or not. that's life and no amount of "gun laws" will change that

Do you really think that gun owners and people buying guns are concerned about the law or human life? Get a clue. You aren't going to go out and shoot a bunny with a semi-automatic handgun: there's only one purpose for that weapon and that is to kill a human being. I can go to any gun show and buy one-no background check-no I.D. All I have to have is the money. Another one down, 240,000,000 to go.
