Joseph*Bruce, by the way, received two objectionable conduct penalties for the "celebration," which, in my mind, was perfectly fine. See, here's the thing: a worldwide icon passed tragically, Joseph honored him, his team paid the price and everyone moved on. Except the CFL.
For some reason, the league is reviewing it, although lord only knows why they're putting the hurt on him for this (and to what extent they intend on punishing him; nothing scares a professional athlete like seeing loonies and toonies fly out of their wallet). Maybe it's just because he didn't do anything to pay tribute to Canada Day.
*Yes. I am an idiot. Joseph is the quarterback and Bruce is the wide receiver. You'd think having actual video would have solved that, but no. On the other hand, this is Canadian football we're talking about people.

Seriously, Kerry Joseph is a stand-up guy, please get your facts straight before posting. Kerry Joseph is the QB for the Argonauts, the guy who did the "tribute" is Arland Bruce, who is also someone who has a reputation for being a selfish person and player. This "celebration" doesn't surprise me a bit, and I hope the CFL comes down hard on him. We're lucky to be in a league that allows fun celebrations, and is nothing like the No Fun League in that regard, but the line I feel has been crossed in this instance, and the league will send a message that offensive celebrations won't be tolerated.

I'm waiting for the day I get a penalty for not washing my hands after I relieve myself in a mens room at the stadium. They're taking the fun out of what is supposed to be entertainment. This incident is kind of stupid though. Moonwalk would have been more appropriate and identifiable. I would not have associated this with Michael Jackson witout the story.
