As we passed along yesterday, Brandon Marshall has requested that the Denver Broncos trade him. According to reports from the Denver area Tuesday, that request will be granted by Broncos' owner Pat Bowlen."Yes there was a meeting between Brandon, and Mr. Bowlen. There was a request for a trade. Mr. Bowlen has said that ownership will do everything in it's power to accommodate his wishes," said Marshall's agent Kennard McGuire to Fox31 Sports' Josina Anderson Tuesday morning.Later in the day, McGuire told FanHouse's Calvin Watkins that the two sides will progress with trade talks, despite Broncos coach Josh McDaniels' claim that he expects Marshall to attend the team's training camp.
The word from the front office in Denver (outside of McDaniels) wasn't much, as they merely offered a "no comment." Teaming the report with the information we have in front of us -- in addition to the way the Jay Cutler fiasco went down -- it would appear Marshall will be wearing a different uniform come Week 1 of the season.
In regards to the first part, there aren't many teams who wouldn't be interested in a receiver the caliber of Marshall. The fact that we're in mid-June, along with Marshall's salary demands as well as his health and off-field questions mitigate things a bit, though. We can speculate the Jets, Bears, Buccaneers, Eagles, Ravens and Cowboys would all be involved in the bidding for Marshall -- but that's pure conjecture at this point.
You'd think it would take a suitable replacement for Marshall along with some draft picks in order to land the troubled wideout. The thing is, no one offered more than a second-round pick for Anquan Boldin, and he seems like he'd be a much more attractive option for most teams.
Do the Eagles offer Kevin Curtis and two draft picks? Will 2nd and 3rd rounders be enough from the Bears? If not, do they tap into the 2011 draft to make the Broncos happy like they did with Cutler? Maybe the Cowboys send Roy Williams back on his way along with a pick or two?
Tons of speculation is sure to follow, because there aren't many receivers who can produce 206 catches, 2,590 yards and 13 touchdowns in two seasons -- as Marshall did in 2007-2008.
For now, though, it appears Marshall is officially on the proverbial block.

I think the Bears would be a great home for this trade bc with cutler as qb now
But for letmec543 - Cutler didn't want to play for that coach if you remember right - dee dee - So thats out of the question
Bears do need a WR tho - could be marshall or i think plaxico..

Come on Jets, don't get stingy now! They should trade for Marshall and then sign Burress for a year.
I should also hit the lottery.

I think the Bears will push hard to get him.the Bears obviousely need a WR and the best option for them would be Burress or now Marshall. If i were a betting man they will try and get Marshall for 2 reasons.first would be Cutler and Marshall mesh very well together and he can go right in and play with Cutler. The second reason would be Buress might not finish the season with the possibilty of going to prison and being suspended.I think if the Bears are going to go after someone, then Marshall should be a no brainer.

Is there anyone that is a Bronco fan that doesn't think that Josh McDaniel is the worst thing to happen to Denver since Magic Mountain failed?

No, and he is making a lot of Bronco fans put the Bronco's to the 2nd slot on my favorite teams list, Pat Bowlen and McDaniel's are looking like a bunch of loonatics.

I am a Broncos fan, sick of reading about all the changes in Denver just about every day. I am now guessing the only reason Marshall did not request a trade before even under Shanahan, is that he wanted Cutler as his QB. SO YES I AM WORRIED DENVER WILL GO DOWN THE TUBES IN A HURRY.

yo randle el is a cool dude. i would say moss, a 2nd round, and a 4th rounder though i wouldn't mind trading both receivers and immediately send either devin thomas or malcolm kelly to the numba 2 spot.

If he doesn't go to the Buccaneers I'd be surprised. Forget Plaxico, let's take the younger and less troublesome talent!

seiously, all you guys talking about giving a starter, second rounder and a fourth for Marshall are on something. No one offered more than a 2nd rounder for Boldin and Boldin is a step above Marshall. Broncos will get a second and a late pick at most

Brandon Marshall has been nothing but an abuser and troublemaker for the broncos. After all of the times he has been aressted and the broncos stood behind him and supported him, this is how he shows it. By wanting a trade. He should be cut and watch no one will give him the money he wants. He is a common thug and not worthy of getting any real money only jailtime.
