Cowboys owner Jerry Jones put to rest any discussion that Pacman Jones would return to the team this year by saying it won't happen.
"I have no plans to bring Adam back," Jones said Monday afternoon.
It was a direct switch from Saturday night when Jerry Jones told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that he's thinking of bringing back Jones. ESPN also talks about Jones' possible return.
Jerry Jones is a caring man and that's part of the reason why he thought of returning Pacman Jones to the Cowboys.
When the Cowboys cut him, Pacman had three years of NFL experience. To become eligible for an NFL pension, you must play four seasons.
Jerry Jones, if he wanted to, was trying to get Pacman another year on the field so he can become eligible for that pension, meaning he'd have a regular check coming in when he retires.
Last month, the Jets expressed some interest in Jones before deciding to go in a different direction at corner. Jones' agent, Worrick Robinson, said several teams were interested but didn't think anything would happen until training camps started. Robinson ruled out a return to the Cowboys.
But now, who knows what will happen.
Still, it's doubtful the Cowboys will bring Pacman back. The team likes Mike Jenkins and Orlando Scandrick to compete at its other corner spot opposite Terence Newman.
And while Pacman was supposed to make an impact on punt returns last year, he didn't. The team had Felix Jones fielding punts during organized team activities last week.
Even Pacman's jersey number, 21, is gone, having been taken by Jenkins.
But Jerry Jones wants to help Pacman Jones. As of right now, Jerry Jones doesn't want to do it on the football field.

Why would any team bring Pacman back so he could get a pension? That's Pacman's problem. He messed up his career and opportunities. He can go flip burgers for all I care.

Quiet, dammit! We don't need that bozo in Minnesota creating new interception records. The Vikings are bad enough without Favre making us worse.

Why are some of you so heartless? Pacman Jones is a very troubled human being and Jerry Jones is trying to help him, what's wrong with that? Would I want Pacman marrying my Daughter, of course not but he's still a human being. God bless you Jerry Jones for trying to help a fellow human being!!

How in the world could Pacman have "money problems?" Even the minimum salary in the NFL is several hundred thousand dollars, and I doubt he was paid the minimum. If Jerry Jones wanted to help him, he would have gotten him counseling and a financial manager. The financial manager would have doled out $100 a week of "walking around" money and saved the remainder so that Pacman could be financially secure.

How about this? Maybe Jerry Jones can become Vice President of Texas when the leave the Union and become their own country. Gov. Perry will be Pres. Jerry Jones Vice Pres. The big redneck Ted Nuggent for Sec of Defense. Glenn Beck for Speaker of the House, coz he will get the nod over Rush who will be in and out of rehab. Just need to find a position for Newt. Something that is not to long term (age factor). Then once Texas does leave they may have a shot at a championship of their own country, they can play the Texans for the title. But as we all know, they will blow it late in the game again. The NEW Minority (Republicans & Rednecks)

Sometimes in our lives when we make bad decisions and then we have to pay back those decisions called consequences. Everything we do in life has a attatchment of what we have done and why and Pacman is now paying for all those bad decisions and also the consequnces of those decisions?? What comes around, goes around and Pacman has learned that first hand, live and learn or learn to live I say.
