For most Buffalo Bills fans, Terrell Owens is a welcome distraction. He's a ticking time bomb, sure, but if the organization can find a way to placate him, he has the ability to help the Bills get back to the playoffs and make them relevant again in the process. That's worth the potential headache. Plus, if history is any guide, T.O. will be a model citizen during the 2009 season; he only acts out after at least one year in a new town. So there's that.
Unfortunately, the fine folks in the posh suburbs surrounding Buffalo (well, as posh as suburbs can be in an historically industrial, mostly blue-collar Upstate New York city) aren't convinced. Via his Twitter tabulator, Owens relays the trouble he's having finding a place to stay.
"sittin here trippin about residents @ 1 DEER RUN wn't rent 2 me b/c they said they dn't want any drama n their neighborhood!! LOL!!! Wow!!"Naturally, I looked it up. Assuming Owens is talking about Orchard Park, here ya go (you can also see the property via Google in the photo above): four bedrooms, 2.5 baths, 4,000 square feet. Not shabby, but certainly more conservative than what he's used to.
Now, if the residents consider "drama" to be "half-naked front-yard sit-ups," then, well, they might be onto something. But again, that all comes after the first season. And the Bills only signed T.O. to a one-year deal.
Whatever, Owens is getting plenty of advice via Twitter and sounded upbeat this morning: "jus gettin up! headed 2 practice then househunting again. Hv a blessed day tweeters!"
So, yeah, here's to having a blessed day. And a roof over your head.

Now I'm vehemently anti- all things Twitter (it's one of those "can mankind actually GET any more idiotic?" moments for me), but I'm actually considering signing up purely for the opportunity to read T.O.'s tweets. I just can't hate this guy one tiny bit!

Ill send him a TENT from Ireland..His history at different teams speaks for itself and those of you all excited now will remember my worlds in at least 2 years time if not sooner and say WHY DID WE BRING THIS GUY HERE.. As far as im concerned all he brings is unrest is a distraction to those who have no self interest at heart only the teams ,will explode at the QB the first chance he gets when he thinks he is not getting enough of the ball also he is not a team player.. Anyway regards all..If he needs a place to stay as i said ill send a little pink tent with a picture of Barney on it for him..Steve

Buffalo is supposed to be the city of good neighbors. And if he is looking at Orchard Park homes, I do believe they space them out quite well. Have him talk to Ed Kilgore, WGRZ channel 2 sports, he lives out there...........The man came to play football. Let him have some space.
