Ojinnaka was arrested early Wednesday morning on a misdemeanor charge of simple battery resulting from a fight he had with his wife. According to a police report, the fight was over a woman that Ojinnaka had added as a friend on his Facebook account.
Ojinnaka told police he was preparing to watch a basketball game on Tuesday night when his wife confronted him and tried to stab him in the leg with a pen. He is accused of spitting on her and throwing her on some stairs before tossing her out of the house. Ojinnaka's wife did not require any medical attention.
Ojinnaka posted a $2,400 bond and was released from custody after four hours, both of which are pretty deserving penalties. Not just for allegedly spitting on his wife, but for thinking it was a good idea to carry on a public flirtation. How anyone can not know that everything they do online becomes a matter of public record at this point is beyond me, but at some point one of these stories will finally hit home for the remaining holdouts.
Ojinnaka, a fifth-round pick in 2006, played 30 games for the Falcons over the last three years. He made seven starts in 2007, and appeared in eight games during the 2008 season. He's projected to be a backup to starting tackles Sam Baker and Tyson Clabo this season.
A Falcons spokesman told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that Falcons coach Mike Smith spoke to Ojinnaka, but declined to comment further.

This author is an IDIOT! He sissy slapped her and thats it, christ being stabbed with a pen is assault/battery. WHY does he go to jail? I'd of kicked her out of the house too. Any issues of infidelity are aside from the point.

After Ojinnaka made it home he should have given her $2,400 dollars and told her she had four hours to figure out how soon she could be out of his house. Top it off by having her sign the divorce papers with the pen she attempted to assualt him with.

Bro sounds like you know the deal.
You should be a domestic dispute arbitrator and a voice for men worldwide who are abused legally by their women!
But then again such is a clear example of why I am a buddhist monk and will refrain from taking a life partner simply because of these common issues.

Trust me, the guys don't always get screwed. However, in this case, it seems the guy did get screwed. If she stabbed him in the leg with a pen first, then she should have been thrown in jail as well. The only thing I can think of is that the police took a look at where she supposedly stabbed him and saw no marks.

How does HE become the bad guy in all of this?? OK, so he MAY have gotten caught flirting on Facebook. But I'm sorry, there is absolutely NO excuse for stabbing your spouse with a less-than-sharp object like a pen just because you're angry. That's just plain wrong! Especially since he obviously used restraint to avoid hurting her despite throwing her on the stairs and whatever other things he did to keep her off of him. I mean the guy is a FOOTBALL PLAYER! He could rip her into tiny little pieces if he really wanted to. And she didn't need to go to the hospital!
But HE's the one who gets a four-hour vacation in jail??
Something's not right here...either there's a lot more to this story or the legal system in Georgia got some serious loopholes that can have an entire football field fit within it.

Maybe the girl was an old high school friend.
Doesn't matter. She should have been arrested too, for attempted stabbing. BUT, it IS the man who gets screwed and this is NOTHING compared to how bad the "Justice System" will screw him if they divorce, which I highly recommend.
I've been down that road before and believe me, there IS no justice in that system. It's all money and BS.
And sadly, the bigger the guy, the more "dangerous" he is in the eyes of the court. Quinn should cut his losses and get away from her. Leave her in the house, get a lawyer, move on. It will only get worse when they have kids.
Cut your losses, Quinn, buddy. Been there, done that.

My husband was talking to an old highschool friend on myspace. It progressed to txt's then phone calls, then inapropriate pics and then meeting and sleeping together. I am sure that he has screwed around on her before and that is why she flipped out. Too bad she did not actually get him with the pen before he stopped her.

This crap the woman is always right, the women always gets the house, the car, the kids, future earnings crap has got to end. Especially when they cheat, or stab their husband with pens ect. The courts and womens groups have seen to it that women have equal rights, until the divorce that is. Then the women become the helpless I can't support themselves victim. It's no wonder some men lose their mind and we have the murder suicide's. I can't understand how a women, can cheat, break her vow's then walk away from the marriage with everything while the man has to move in with their parents and live with nothing the rest of their live's while paying for their ex's to live in his house and bang other guy's. It's amazing more men don't snap and kill their cheating ex's if indeed that's the reason for their divorce. And further more, that these backward ass judge's don't get smacked for their assnine rulings.

I find that insulting. My husband cheated, refused to work (and he had 2 degrees where I did not have any), didn't care for the kids, and left all the chores for me when I got home from work. Guess what? He sued for spousal support and he's going to take almost half of my retirement when I retire. All because it was an election year and judges bend backwards to look progressive by giving the husband more. It's the main provider that get's screwed, period. The reasoning... "he was the home provider therefore you must provide for him financially" Did I mention he had 2 degrees and I did the chores and paid for before and after school care because he wouldn't get them there on time or pick them up??? I even had proof of all their tardies I didn't know until I got their report cards he took the calls while I was at work. 29 tardies in 4 months, (they were in kindergarten) that's only 80 school days. And the school would call me at work to pick them up because he hadn't and they couldn't get a hold of him. I carpooled to work so it disrupted my and a co-worker's job to go get my kids a hour and a half after class was over. That's how powerful an election year is boys and girls. None of it mattered. No justice in the law.
