Garrett Reid, one of the troubled sons of Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid, is back in prison after a fight in the halfway house where he had been staying.NBC Philadelphia is reporting that the 26-year-old Garrett Reid is accused of beating up a fellow resident of the halfway house where he's been living as part of his court-ordered drug treatment.
As a result of the incident, Reid was taken immediately to Graterford Prison.
Garrett Reid has a long string of legal troubles. In May of last year, he pleaded guilty to smuggling drugs into his jail cell, a jail cell he was in because of a previous driving under the influence charge. His brother Britt Reid has also been charged with drug possession and with threatening another driver with a gun in a road rage incident.
A judge who presided over one of the cases involving the Reid brothers referred to the house that Andy Reid raised his sons in as a "drug emporium."

Andy Reid is a good coach. But what does it say about him as a person that he's raised two sons like this?

I think Mr Reid should take a leave of abaence for a year from football and think of his family.
And then come back to football.
PS I,m not saying he is bad father but famliy comes frist.

He is a bad father. And why take a leave of absence now? It's too late for him to change his brain dead sons now. They've already been raised bad.

I'm thinking that at some point Andy Reid should have spent more time raising his family than coaching football.

These guys made their own bad decisions, but something was missing for them in their household that led to their choices or they chose the street life over what was presented in the household. Its ironic, that these two sons of an nfl coach are not very different than some of the urban young men in the nfl who are criticized about their behavior and choices.

Sorry to read about this. We must understand that Andy's son is just a product of his enviorment. Fighting in a half-way house, sounds like MOST of the fans at an Eagles home game...When you lay down with dogs, you are gonna get flee's...Andy become a father, leave behind the team and it's fans. THEY are just not worth it!!!!

And so it comes full circle; the sins of the sons are visited on the father. With the judges' comment referencing the family home as a "drug emporium" are the sins really that seperate after all?

A small (and unfortunately very visible) group of Eagle fans are idiots. The rest are no different than fans elsewhere...except they are more passionate and knowledgeable. Don't buy into the stories in the media that perpetuate this false reputation. The articles are written by lazy reporters who would rather pull old stories from the files instead of actually going out and finding the truth.

His Eagles couldn't win a big game even if the other team didn't show up. He's coached a loser team for years. Did anyone really expect he could raise a family any better? Being a loser is a way of life for all Eagles.

Am I the only one who noticed that the other son was called "Britt" Reid? His name if I recall is Brett, not Britt.

Coach reid does not need to take a year off to help his son. We are talking about a 26 year old...not a child. He has tried to help his son many times....comes a point when someone can't be helped.
