Jason Taylor is going back home.Taylor, the defensive end who was traded from the Dolphins to the Redskins last year, will re-sign with Miami, The Sun-Sentinel is reporting. The move comes as something of a surprise, as Taylor and Dolphins front office boss Bill Parcells were widely believed to be at odds. But whatever differences the two had, they've apparently found a way to bury the hatchet. ESPN is reporting that Taylor agreed to a one-year, $1.1 million deal. His contract with the Redskins would have paid him $8.5 million if he had played in Washington this season.
For the Dolphins, the acquisition of Taylor gives the team a solid veteran presence on the defense. He's not the same Jason Taylor he was in his prime a few years ago, but he should be a solid contributor.
Redskins fans, meanwhile, have to be wondering what the team was doing sending a second-round pick to Miami to get one year of Taylor's services. The Redskins cut Taylor during the off-season when he declined the team's request to show up to their off-season conditioning program.
Taylor, who will turn 35 before the season, is a six-time Pro Bowler who has 120.5 career sacks, including 3.5 sacks last year for the Redskins.

thats right welcome home! Also, I wish that all the home grown kids from Florida played Pro ball here! How many Ravens/ Redskins would be left? Who would win next year? Thats only two teams! Say whatever you want Redskin/Ravin fans, people do NOT watch the NFL because of the talent that comes out of Maryland! p.s. You may feel secure because you have cameras at every intersection. We have the talent & we dont pay state income tax! FUB!!!!!

WOW! 7.4 million pay cut and all you were ask to do was participate in off-season conditioning program. Hey it must be nice when you can turn down that kind of money, but hey to each his own. Oh and one more thing Miami wont win half as many game this season as they did last season.

Something about Taylor makes me want to punch him right in the face... The BEAST is too much for this loser to handle. I am happy he is going back to Florida with the rest of the old retired people.

tony4799 get a life dude.. You can all say what you like Taylor is an legend in the league ok he didnt play to the way we expected in Washington but no player ever does..We shipped him out because he did play ball with the offseason workout and he did turn down a lot of money by doing this but all this shows is that players are ALL overpaid for what they do..Dont get me wrong there are players that stand out but do you people really think they are worth what they get paid all for entertainment..Im a Redskins fan for the past 30 years and i dont even live in the USA but there is nothing that i really dont know about the game and yes i much prefer it to games this side of the pond ie soccer , CRICKET(dont make me laugh).. Other than the GAA here in Ireland NFL rocks..Best Regards Steve Dublin Ireland
