This seems about right. Brett Favre, who will outlive us all, showed up at Oak Grove High School (Mississippi) yesterday to throw the ole pigskin around. Just like last summer (and the four before that), right before he unretired, made life miserable for Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy, and worked a trade to the Jets.The Favre rumors change daily, but other than agent Bus Cook, no one "close to the situation" is willing to say much on the record. Which is why somebody at ESPN thought it would be a swell idea to get Oak Grove quarterback James McMahon on the horn to talk about watching Favre throw a football. Video is after the jump.
It was predictably riveting stuff. In fairness to McMahon, he handled the interview flawlessly, answering silly questions as if they were serious, and never giving any indication that this might be the most absurd thing he'd ever seen.
And when Scott pointed out that, according to Cook, Favre only made 10 throws before his arm started to tire, McMahon offered this: "[Favre] didn't say anything to me, but I couldn't tell a difference [in his arm strength]. Either he's really good at throwing in pain or it doesn't feel bad."
Obviously, Favre is faking.* Probably to drum up support before he inevitably announces he's coming back. Good times.
* joke, speculation

OMG...Can't you people leave Brett alone.
He made life miserable for Thompson and McCarthy?
Cry me a River !!!! What did they do to him? NOTHING?????
Give yourself to a team for so many years and just get tossed out just because you want to come back and play. Give me a break.
You and them are going to find out what miserable really means if Brett goes to Minnesota. I can see a lot of miserable faces in Green Bay when it happens.
He had no help with the Jets, what did everyone expect? Just because it's Bett Favre, he was expected to do it all alone?

Haven't you heard. Ryan gets paid to do these propaganda bits for Ted Thompson. It's the only way Green Bay can get any favorable print since the went 6-10 without Brett. Now they are all scared stiff that Brett will go to Minnesota.
But that's ok. Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy will be gone after this season and then we can once again look forward to a winning team.
