There is this story out of the Twin Cities today that says Brett Favre has hired a personal trainer and is planning a comeback. Or at least that's the rumor.
Favre retired a few weeks ago from the Jets and his agent Bus Cook told FanHouse that nobody, and we mean nobody, has called asking for the legendary quarterback to return.
"Not one [team]," Cook said. "Nobody has called. Everybody assumes that a potential team is there. I haven't talked to anybody."
Cook said he did speak with Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum recently, but that was about another player and not about a comeback.
"We did talk about Brett's experience in New York," Cook said. "They were so good to work with and Brett enjoyed his time in New York. He could come back and win a [another] championship like some other quarterbacks. He's so popular that it would be great if he did come back. But as far as I'm concerned stick a fork in him."

Greatest ever? At what? Throwing interceptions?
One superbowl in 17 years? And that with the help of Reggie White. Nothing before Reggie, nothing after. In the encyclopedia, under over rated is a picture of this butt wipe.
This announcement, sadly, comes about 365 days too late!

Farve screwed Green Bay and the Jets. As his team mates in NYC testified, "He's a spoiled brat who thinks he's too good to associate with his team mates, has to have a separate "office" away from the team so he can relax.the" and in the end the Jets (who were stupid enough to overpay this has been) got screwed. Farve...go away you selfish, egotistical, womanizer (girl friend for years in L.A.).

Brett Favre is one of the best and toughest EVER to play the game of football. The guy has the record for most games played in a row which is amazing at the quarterback position. Plus now he holds just about every passing record. How any of you retards can knock him, truley amazes me. He is one of the few who truely loved playing the game. He was not there just to collect a check like most of the babies in the league now. He is 100% class. Deal with it.

If you've never been passionate about something to the point of being boorish, then you've never been passionate about anything. I collect '60s Mustangs and coins of Adolph Weinman, specifically Winged Liberty (Mercury) dimes and Walking Liberty half dollars, and I'll bore you to death on either topic. I watched Steve Carlton decline and become a vagabond, wandering from team to team in search of a comeback. It's not ego but competiveness that drives the Carltons and Favres and George Foremans of the world. You try to walk away, but your passion still burns. Favre's skills are certainly diminished, but he is at least as competent as 50% of NFL quarterbacks. When you've been to Paris, it's hard to go back to the farm. He wants to be on top again. Who among us that harbor any ambition can blame him if he tries?

The soap opera continues Boo Hoo......... My guess is the DIVA ends up with the Vikings because the only bigger A-Hole than Favre on the planet Earth is the Vikings coach.... They deserve each other... It's going to be fun watching the Bears stomp on the Vikes and the Diva next season and I am not even a Bears fan...........
