The 2010 NFL draft is still 51 weeks away, and yes, a whole lot will change during the 2009 college football season. But millions of us are obsessed with the NFL draft, so with the 2009 draft now behind us, let's take a very early look ahead at potential No. 1 overall pick Sam Bradford of Oklahoma, as well as the other top players in the Class of 2010.
Based on my own observations and the opinions I've sought of a few other people I respect, I think this is a very, very early look at how the 2010 first round might look:
1. Sam Bradford, quarterback, Oklahoma*
2. Russell Okung, offensive tackle, Oklahoma State
3. Gerald McCoy, defensive tackle, Oklahoma*
4. Taylor Mays, safety, USC
5. Brandon Spikes, linebacker, Florida
6. Sean Weatherspoon, linebacker, Missouri
7. Ndamukong Suh, defensive tackle, Nebraska*
8. Mark Herzlich, linebacker, Boston College
9. Terrence Cody, defensive tackle, Alabama
10. Trent Williams, offensive tackle, Oklahoma*
11. Greg Hardy, defensive end, Ole Miss
12. Arrelious Benn, wide receiver, Illinois*
13. Sergio Kindle, outside linebacker, Texas
14. Dez Bryant, wide receiver, Oklahoma State*
15. Eric Berry, safety, Tennessee*
16. Bryan Bulaga, offensive tackle, Iowa*
17. Joe Haden, cornerback, Florida*
18. Damian Williams, wide receiver, USC*
19. Jermaine Gresham, tight end, Oklahoma*
20. C.J. Spiller, running back, Clemson
21. Carlos Dunlap, defensive end, Florida*
22. Trevard Lindley, cornerback, Kentucky
23. Marvin Austin, defensive tackle, North Carolina*
24. Jonathan Dwyer, running back, Georgia Tech
25. Dan LeFevour, quarterback, Central Michigan
26. Ciron Black, offensive tackle, LSU
27. Sergio Render, guard, Virginia Tech
28. Colt McCoy, quarterback, Texas
29. Brandon LaFell, wide receiver, LSU
30. George Selvie, defensive end, South Florida
31. Myron Rolle, safety, Florida State/Oxford
32. Tim Tebow, quarterback/tight end/wildcat specialist, Florida

Terrence Cody is the best defensive player in college football. I think he could have been a top 10 pick this year if he had come out.

Colt McCoy QB out of Texas will go higher than what you predict in my opinion. Who are the predicted stud RBs likely to be available in next years draft? Just wondering.

Aside from Spiller and Dwyer, the top running backs are likely to be Joe McKnight of USC, LeGarrette Blount of Oregon, James Starks of Buffalo, Charles Scott of LSU and Chris Brown of Oklahoma.

Love seeing Rejus Benn so high up on all these mock drafts. Although selfishly I'm hoping he stays at U of I.

From what I saw in the end of the '08 season and the DTs being drafted in this past draft, I think Suh from Nebraska will be a Top 5 selection, and I believe he will be a Senior when he comes out.

These nfl scouts should be fired. Not a single team is giving graham harrell a chance, with the exception of a slight chance in cleveland. If any quarterback was reminiscent of tom brady, its this kid. When this kid gets a chance and he will, all of you should feel like complete idiots.
