Knowshon Moreno an NFL Draft Shocker to the Broncos at 12

Smokescreening was a major part of the pre-NFL Draft festivities, but I don't think anyone ever saw the Denver Broncos selecting Knowshon Moreno, the running back from Georgia, with the 12th overall pick in the draft.

But then all of a sudden, ESPN was showing video of Moreno, who didn't appear to even think about being selected, answering the telephone. And suddenly there was chaos: the Broncos actually picked him!

Not to get all hyperbolic on you with the exclamation points, but this is another nightmare feather in coach Josh McDaniels' cap; Keyshawn Johnson called him "arrogant," immediately folllowing the pick, and considering he basically forced Jay Cutler out of town, people in Denver might be wondering about their new coach right now.

Moreno's not a bad player at all -- in fact he's incredibly talented -- but at 12 he makes little-to-no sense from a value perspective, unless the Bronocs simply thought they wouldn't have a shot at him when they picked again at 18.

How stupid can you be? To pick a running back when they have so many. Also where is the defense? Did the new guy watch any films at all. The Broncos always fell apart on defense. This is a bad pick that makes no sense.

It's official. Josh McDaniels is an idiot. After needlessly trading away our third year All Pro QB and cutting half of Denver's front seven, then hiring several running backs through free agency, McDaniels uses our top draft pick to draft a... another running back?? At the very least, we could have acquired two top notch defensive linemen in the first round-- including Evander Hood-- or an LB to replace released vets Nate Webster or Jamie Winborn..

i respect this pick. Knowshon is the best player that ever lived and he will no dout be a first ballot hall of famer.
P.s knownshon went to my highschool and set ever NJ rushing record

wow ok in case you didnt notice denver also picked robert ayers with the 18th pick. Cutler said he wanted to be traded then when they said they were open to trading him he said he didnt want to be traded so the broncos called his bluff. cutler ran himself out of town
