Scouting Report: Explosive speed, ability to pull away from defenders. Gains separation rapidly and maintains it. Good hands. Very elusive, part of the reason for his exceptional return abilities. Not afraid to run block and will hold his assignments. Shaky route runner, played in a wide-open spread offense designed for quick passes.
2009 Outlook: Maclin could turn a team's offense from good to great simply with his game-breaking ability. If nothing else, he'll be returning kicks on opening weekend, providing his club a dangerous threat, but he also looks like a perfect slot receiver if he cleans up his routes.
