Hugh Hefner doesn't believe in small parties. And why should he? After all, when you're the guy who created the Playboy empire, you should throw down in large fashion. Which is why he's in the middle of a week-long birthday celebration, culminating in Hef turning 83 years young on Thursday.And, of course, there are indeed plenty of Playmates in attendance, including Kendra Wilkinson. Which, naturally, means everyone's favorite WR3 turned Playmate favorite Hank Baskett was in attendance. And he kicked it hard with Hef.
"It's been very nice getting to know Hef. He's just down to earth, family-oriented kind of guy," Baskett told the Las Vegas Sun.Um, right. So, what's more insane ... that Hank Baskett is a huge Flash Gordon fan or that he thinks Hef is a "down to earth, family-oriented kind of guy." Probably the former, although one does get a natural sense of caring from Hefner; think about how many poor women he's made famous.
"It was one of those male bonding moments," Baskett said. "We 're both big Flash Gordon fans ... It was like a match made in heaven."
Of course, what's unsaid here is that Baskett kind of cold-jacked one of Hef's three "main" girlfriends in Wilkinson, although, I suppose if your Hef, the "serious" ladies in your life tend to blend together throughout the course of the last 25 years on a pretty regular basis.
