Reggie Williams and Matt Jones already had one major commonality: they are each first-round wide receiver busts for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Now, reportedly, they have another: both have been arrested for cocaine possession.According to a recent report from Fox Sports' Alex Marvez, Williams was arrested Sunday night in Houston on felony charges of cocaine possession and was tasered by two off-duty police officers who were providing security at the Open City Bar and Lounge.
"Mr. Williams was at the front door area causing some sort of altercation," [police spokesman Victor] Senties said. "A witness alerted one of the officers to it. The officer went over and asked Mr. Williams several times to leave. He refused. At one point, the officer attempted to escort him out of club. Mr. Williams pushed the officer and almost knocked him down. At that point, the other officer came over to try and assist. Again, Mr. Williams was very combative. One (officer) had to deploy a (taser) to get into custody."Williams was the No. 9 overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft, but was released this offseason by the Jaguars, who have struggled to develop any sort of wideout since Jimmy Smith retired. Now, it seems, his free agency road has just gotten a little bit tougher, as this is his second run-in with Houston police since February of this year -- he was also arrested for a DWI earlier this year.
And while there has been no word from the NFL as to how this could affect Williams' eligibility, if he is suspended, that would seriously impede his ability to receive a contract from any NFL team.

Where's all the racist jokes about the "white crack-head" now?? I really hope this opens you stupid, close minded peoples minds that just because a person is a color and they may do drugs, doesnt mean the whole race is that way. Besides, no NFL players are "crack--heads" that's taking it a bit too far, I''m sure they all dabble in the "party-scene" in the offseason just like Michael Irvin and all the cowboys used to. Also, addiction can effect anyone, no matter race, creed, color, wealth, status, it doesnt matter. It can effect anyone, but just because someone may recreatinally do drugs, doesn't mean they are "crack-heads" or "druggies" Seriously, alcohol and tobacco are just as bad and sometimes worse than most of the illegal drugs that are in our streets. So who's to say what drug is "ok" and which one "isnt" I think its pathetic. If dtugs are going to be illegal, then ALL need to be illegal, if not, THEN everything needs to be legalized and monitored. It just makes no sense.

This is really sad. Reggie's a good football player too. Why is it when ANYONE famous gets a bit of money and fame, they end up doing something like this stupid? Now, he's career is over.

Alternate truth: cops get pissed off after he knocks one of them down, so they put some coke in the evidence bag, saying they found it in his back pocket. It happens every day.
