At this point, the Denver Broncos really don't have a choice. There's no turning back, and there is probably not a good chance of there ever being a reconciliation. You can play the blame game all you want, but it won't change the reality. Now that Denver has said they are going to explore trade prospects for Pro Bowl quarterback Jay Cutler, it was just a matter of time before word leaked over Denver's demands.
ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports the Broncos want quite a price for a guy who doesn't seem to want to be in Denver anymore.
... the Broncos have informed all interested teams that they want at least two first-round picks for Cutler and getting a quarterback in exchange is not a necessity, Mortensen reports. A team source said it was possible Cutler could be traded as soon as Friday. There's good news and bad news here.
The good news is that the Broncos might have a deal done by Friday. That puts an end to this thing much later than the last drama Bus Cook engineered.
The bad news? Well, Denver front office, I hate to break this to you. Someone should, though.
You don't have much of a chance of getting two first-round picks for Jay Cutler. The dude's damaged goods. Everyone on the planet who can access a television or a computer knows he doesn't want to play for Denver anymore, Not only does Denver not want him around, but they probably can't afford to keep him.
Even if you could
Perhaps the Broncos are banking on there being a bidding war for Cutler. He is, after all, a proven NFL quarterback, unlike anyone available in the draft. Plus, there's a chance the Redskins will be involved, and you know how often Dan Snyder gives up on getting something he wants.
Still, it's a price no sane NFL team would pay for someone who could cause them more trouble than he's worth.

The only idiots who would do this are Snyderrato. I can't fault Denver for trying to get two firsts, but they don't have much leverage here.
For Denver's sake, they should be dealing with just the Browns and Skins. If they could get some picks and either Brady Quinn, Derek Anderson or JC, at least it would give them some options. Dealing to Detroit might get them a better pick, but also a rookie with zero experience. I hope the Skins don't do this, but a deal with us is probably the best option from Denver's POV.

Attention Dan and Vinny: we NEED a 1st round pick stud like Cush, Rey
or Clay from USC, don't waste any picks on a whiner like Cutler. USC
is ripe with talent!
Greetings from SO CAL, go Skins!

Don't do it Redskins, Jay Cutler is a Cry Baby, Our JC is a hell of a lot better than their JC!! Don't do it, please don't do it. It is all about consistency. If you get Jay Cutler, then we are starting all over again.

I agree that the Skins don't need Cutler, I disagree that they should take a defensive player in the first round. The Skins ended the season with a great D. Where they need help is the O-line. Cambell or Cutler either one won't be able to do anything with the protection they had last year.
Jason Cambell has not proven himself yet, but I think he will and when he does I hope its in Washington. And he's not a cry-baby.

Are we really going to just give up on Campbell like that? All for a diabetic, egotistical, cry baby? (Remember how he claimed to throw harder than Elway? LOL! Maybe true, NOWADAYS since Elway is a senior citizen! Whatever...) Cutler is good, but hes not 2 first round picks good. He throws too many ints for me. Plus, Campbell would have had a much better season last year if he wasn't spending the majority of the offensive possession on his butt wishing someone would block for him. If we had an upgrade in the O-Line, and maybe draft a quality running back to take some punishment off of Portis- The offense would be just fine. (Yeah I know we have Ladell Betts... But tell me, what did he do last year when Portis was starting to get beat up and worn down?) Then if Campbell turns out to be just mediocre, then we have Colt. I really would like the Jason/Colt saga play out naturally with out inserting Cutler. It seems like the minute that Gibbs left, we turned back into idiots. Of course, if this Cutler deal goes through and it works out nicely for the Skins in the end- That would make me happy too. But I really think we dont need to go after Cutler.
