The Jay Cutler saga is becoming increasingly painful to deal with, simply because it's even managing to overtake the NFL draft in terms of overexposed coverage. But Redskins Insider is reporting that we might not have to wait long for a conclusion. That's because the Redskins are reportedly trying to make a deal happen for Cutler tonight.
One source said the Redskins are trying to complete the deal as quickly as possible although at least two other teams, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Jets, are also reportedly interested in acquiring Cutler.Again, this ties back directly with what I wrote earlier -- it doesn't matter if giving up a first rounder and Jason Campbell is technically too much for Cutler and if it will damage the Redskins in the short term ... if Dan Snyder is convinced that Cutler can be Brett Favre, but for Washington, he is going to pay whatever he needs to pay in order to pry the quarterback from the very loose grip of the Broncos.
[...]The source said Redskins owner Daniel M. Snyder has been pushing for the trade in an attempt to finally solve the team's decades-long pursuit of a franchise quarterback.

I think that cutler can so many things for the skins. he is one of the "elite" qb's in the nfl and the skins havent had one of these since baugh. cutler will automaticly make the redskins offense ranked in the top 5 in the nfl. we have a good back field (portis, betts, alridge, sellers etc.) and decent recievers which i hope to see excell this year. kelly and thomas have mass potential but just need to stay in shape and be healthy. the skins also have wonderful te's in cooley yoder and davis. cutler would pretty much put the skins in the playoffs. although it will be tough not having a pick until the 3 round. saying that we trade our 1 pick and dont get any in return.

yea i think we have a legit chance at cutler and then super bowl. we all kno snyer is willing to do anything for a high level player. jason taylor for example, hopefully cutler will last more than a year. the only concern is that w/ no first rounder we cant get a LB or DE which are the two bigggest holes in the roster. ppl say that the o-line is bad but its really not. last year injuries plagued the corp. if they are all healthy there really good.

I HATE THIS MOVE. I LIKE CUTLER BUT WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN WHEN HE GETS UNHAPPY IN DC. IS HE GOING TO JUST STOP PLAYING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SEASON, DEMAND ANOTHER TRADE, STOP SHOWING UP AND JUST IGNORE MANAGEMENT. HES MAKING MILLIONS AND CANT EVEN PLAY OUT HIS CONTRACT AND PROVE HIS WORTH LIKE A MAN LIKE ALBERT HAYNSWORTH. HES BEING A BIG BABY AND HASNT EVEN GOT HIS TEAM A WIN IN THE PLAY OFFS. THEN WE LOSE CAMPBELL, CUTLER, AND OUR FIRST ROUNDER, SOUNDS TOO RISKY TO ME. WE ALL KNOW COLT IS JUST AS MUCH OF A GUN SLINGER AS CUTLER. GIVE COLT THE JOB AND SEE WHAT HES MADE OF AND NEXT OFF SEASON LOOK FOR A QB IF HE DOESNT LIVE UP TO THE HYPE. I AGREE WITH S.A.N. ABOVE CAMPBELL DOES SEEM SCARED TO THROW THE BALL, BUT I THINK HE IS MORE SCARED TO LOSE HIS JOB. COLLINS STEPS IN WHEN GOES DOWN AND GETS THE TEAMS TO THE PLAY OFFS. LAST SEASON WITH JIM ZORN COMING IN COLT SHINES IN PRESEASON WITH LEARNING A NEW SYSTEM JUST LIKE CAMPBELL. SO I THINK SAYING CAMPBELL IS GOOD BUT HES IN A LEARNING CURVE IS A SORRY EXCUSE. CUTLER LOCK ON TO HIS FIRST READ AND FORCES PASSES TO MUCH, WHICH HE WONT GET AWAY WITH IN THE NFC LET ALONE THE NFC EAST. COLT IS THE BETTER FIT FOR THE REDSKINS OFFENCE. JUST BECAUSE HE WASNT A FISRT ROUND PICK HE DOESNT GET A CHANCE TO START? SOUNDS LIKE BULL TO ME LOOK AT TOM BRADY, DREW BREEZ AND MATT CASSLE. PLUS LOOK AT ALL THE OTHER STARS IN THE NFL IN OTHER POSITIONS THAT WERENT FIRST ROUNDERS. LOOK AT CHRIS HORTON. WE WANT COLT!!!

Question is what is Cutler worth? We are to believe that Denver wanted Cassel over Cutler but Cassel was dealt to KC for vrabel and a second round pick.

i cant stand it! cutler is not that much better than JC. our OL got tore up last yr thats all.
god how many dropped passes did i see last yr? to many to count jc stats would be better hadnt been for all them.
his arm strength is just as good as cutlers. think of the broncos div. compared to ours!
and im sorry guys colt will never be a starting qb...hes to small yes preseason hes good...on the third string.
run n shoot qbs dont make it exp. david klingler, andre ware ,tee martin list goes on and on...and he's no warren moon THE ONLY QB to get gr8 results from it
i love my skins jc is the way to go if our wr's do their part we will be good with jc.
lets take either a T like andre smith or oher.
or maybe malaugua however you spell it on def
dont hate on me to bad boys i live in texas so i FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT all the time here. take it easy colt lovers,we need a good qb but i honestly think we gotem already.
it could be worse...shuler could be the qb lol
HAIL REDSKINS!

I think it's too hard to see how good jc is. When I go to the games and it's 3rd and nine, we have 5 recievers ALL running 5 yd routes. Jim Zorn needs to "lossen up Jimmy baby, loosen up"!
