Jonathan Vilma was traded to the New Orleans Saints in early 2008, and as such, has had little use for the condo he owns in Long Island. However, it was the scene for two "execution-style" slayings recently, according to a police investigation (via the New York Daily News) into the murders of Sekou Sakor and an as-yet-unidentified man.
Vilma has, according to sources, as well as his agent Mitch Frankel, not used the condo since 2007 nor was he aware of the ongoing probe into the bodies of men who were dumped into the Paedergast Basin after being shot in the head.
Reportedly, however, Vilma has allowed either a "friend or relative" to use the condo, and that person may be involved in the drug theft and retaliation that is believed to have sparked the gruesome murders.
It's a tragic and terrifying scene that has unfolded in New York City, and while the good news is that Vilma appears completely complicit in connection with the crimes, it's a shame that his name will most likely be attached to the murders, which will, most likely and unfortunately, only further the stigma relating to professional athletes and crime.

"Completely complicit in connection with the crimes"?? He was entirely in on them? This is good news? Or bad writing?

I think the author needs to re-examine the meaning of the word "complicit." This is what happens when you try to use words you dont fully grasp. The paper needs to issue an apology and retraction.

Ain't public education wonderful? People without even a fundamental grasp of the language pretending to be writers. Hacks who think that being a lackey for public officials is journalism. And on and on.
Half the world just faking it.

To jump on the grammar/English bandwagon..., the condo is not "'Allegedly' Scene of Two Murders," they either happened there or they didn't. The state, in a criminal proceeding, alleges that an individual committed the crime; but, usually, the crime itself is an established fact.
