Jay Cutler and Josh McDaniels finally sat down this weekend and talked about their problems, which include, apparently, "not liking each other."The need for these talks was escalated when Cutler put a pair of his Denver-area homes up for sale, and word on the street now is that nothing much got accomplished during the meetings. Oh yeah, and Cutler decided not to attend a charity fundraising roast for Steve Antonopulos Saturday night, despite being on the guest list.
Broncos owner Pat Bowlen did make it to the charity event though, and he seemed none to pleased with the media's many questions relating to his Pro Bowl quarterback. He refused to discuss the subject and even "waved off a reporter."
Former Bronco Mark Cooper wasn't quite as quiet as Bowlen, stating that: "Times have changed around here. Now players cry when they hear they're going to be traded." Personally, I agree with him; Cutler's not so good that the Broncos should slam the phone down on anyone who calls inquiring about a trade.
Tomorrow should be a fairly nice gauge of whether or not the Cutler-McDaniels pairing is actually going to end up working in 2009, because the team has its first team meeting during the offseason training program. The best bet is that Cutler will show up and, even if he's not enthusiastic about it, go through the meeting without too much hassle.
No-showing the team meeting would be the equivalent of demanding a trade at this point, and playing the full-on role of prima donna is only going to hurt his trade value.

I don't care who the heck you are. Nobody is bigger than the team. This guy hasn't won "Jack-Shite". He got his feelings hurt, brother. What a freakin Sissy. Trade his sorry baby butt to the Lions and draft Sanchez or Stratford. This can only get worse. I'm a Skins fan and have to put up with Clinton Portis pouting about getting sat down and destoying the team chemistry. He killed it.

This guy needs to stop being a baby and grow the hell up! He is not bigger than the team. If Joe Montana, who won super Bowls rings with the 49'ers, can get traded, then Cutler can get traded. He is not even half the quarterback Montana was.

be careful what you wish for...he may be too sensitive about being traded, but take a look around, there arent too many qb's as good as him...

bulls**t,,this has nothing to do with cutler. I live in Denver, been going thru the agony for 2 weeks now............McDaniels is the punk, cutler has every right to be told the truth, and Bowlen knows it. Neither McStupid or Xanders has said a word to the fans, meaning the New England rules of deceit, lies, and coverup now apply to Denver........

Cutler is an employee. That's it. The Denver organization does not owe Cutler or the "fans" an explanation. If you don't like it, don't go to the games.

mmmmmmmmmmmmm the "fans" pay the bills....and right now the fan base in Denver is highly pissed. McStupid did not have to mess with the offense, but he has completely destroyed it........the recovery time from this fiasco could be years..In the blink of an eye...........
