Above, a video of something you probably weren't expecting to see: New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick and Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis on stage, singing with Jon Bon Jovi.
The video comes from a benefit in New York City Thursday night for Hannah & Friends, a charity that Weis and his wife started to provide support for children with developmental disabilities. It's no surprise that Belichick would be there, seeing as he and Weis are close friends from their time coaching together. But Bon Jovi?
As it happens, Belichick and Bon Jovi have been friends since the 1980s, when Belichick was an assistant with the Giants and Bon Jovi visited Giants practice.
Taking into consideration Bill Belichick's usual demeanor at press conferences, and his awkward mumbling at those, this footage is pretty amazing stuff. Those guys must really be good friends for him to get up on stage and embarass himself, even for a solid cause. Congrats on being willing to "let your hair down" for a friend, Bill.
