| SCHEFTER'S CAP REPORT |
|
| Most Cap Room | |
| Tampa Bay | $61 million |
| Kansas City | $57 million |
| Philadelphia | $48 million |
| Denver | $37 million |
| Green Bay | $34 million |
| Least Cap Room | |
| Carolina | $1.9 million |
| New England | $3.2 million |
| Indianapolis | $6.6 million |
| Pittsburgh | $7.4 million |
| Washington | $8.1 million |
And with no salary cap in the 2010 season and a large bankroll, Daniel Snyder may not be done. The other teams that are closest to the cap are much less likely to be big players in free agency; All four of them spent some cap room to keep their own players. Carolina has already gotten it's biggest priority done by re-signing Jordan Gross and franchising Julius Peppers. New England franchised Matt Cassell. Indianapolis re-signed Kelvin Hayden and Jeff Saturday and the Steelers franchised Max Starks.
On the other end of the spectrum, the Bucs and Chiefs each have more than $55 million to spend, but with Haynesworth off the market, they are in danger of spending Mercedes prices on Daewoo free agents -- most teams have a ton of money to spend, but there are very few Pro Bowlers on the market.

God Clairway you're not too bright and need to really understand football and how to win. Defense wins games and not the offense. A good defense always trumps a good offense e.g. Ravens, Buccanneers, Steelers, Giants, and Patriots. All known for their defense in their Super Bowl years. Sure the offense gets the glory because you mostly celebrate on one glorious offensive play/ score but you forget the constant - which is a stifling defense. Ravens won it with all D (Trent Dilfer QB... really?), Bucs won it with all D (Brad Johnson QB... really?), Patriots three superbowls (Only a few future hall of famers on that D - Rodney Harrison, Teddy Bruschi, Mike Vrabel, ??Willie Mcginnest??), Giants won it with D (Strahan, Umenyiora, Tuck punished the Patriots... oh yeah Patriots had the best offense ever!), Steelers won with D (Oh yeah you forgot about those interceptions and the one returned by Polamalu because of Fitzgeralds amazing catches.)D wins and Haynesworth will make Kedric Golston or Montgomery seem much better than they are. I hope Golston learns from Haynesworth and does actually turn into a star.

I disagree with #1. They filled a needed void, & now they need to focus on strengthen the O line, & a solid #2 receiver opposite Moss. Many will question the moved due to the need @ DE, but with this monster in the middle, the ends will be better, & then the focus can go on other areas like WR, & O line!

Haynesworth is a piece of trash. Has everyone forgotten how he stomped on the face of a man while he layed on the ground without his helmet on? I wouldn't want this garbage on my team regardless of how talented he is.

Yeah, he stomped on the face of a Cowboy, which is sort of endearing to Redskins fans.

good move. 2010 will probably be uncapped, and Dan can afford much more than the cap. For once, the Skins are actually looking toward the future. Why not spend big if next year there is no cap? And as for a #2 WR, Kelly or Thomas will be it. Most receivers take the first year to adjust. 2nd year is when they start to make impacts. Lets just draft some O-Line and we'll be alright. Defense was number 4 with no pass rush. imagine Albert taking the double teams off of carter and taylor. sounds good to me

This is the perfect move to push the redskins D fense over the top,
And to the skins fan their is no need to go pick up a wide reciever when they spent 2 second round draft picks last yr,malcom kelly will most likely be the 2nd reciver because of his size and leaping ability, with antwan and devin rotating in the slot,i say trade away springs for some draft picks and trade out of the first round for some more draft picks and draft a OSLB or a DE conversion guy that can play OSLB,a guy like micheal johnson and draft some depth in the o line with the other picks, and even though hes been rock solid let go Kendal and reunit Dockery back with the O-line
and the the people bashing jason cambpell really are you guys serious this guy did stellar for his first yr under this offense, i cant wait till he shuts you all up this season

#12, either you have psychic powers, or a good contact with the team. O-line needs to be a priority now. Campbell can't throw the ball if he doesn't have the time. I love Jansen, but he hasn't been the same since he broke his ankle. Samuels is starting to show his age, he's pushing it as a 30 something o-lineman. I have great optimism for this team next year, as I have since I was a child, but I fear it may take some time for these newer guys like Haynesworth to mesh with the rest of the team.
