Two days before the start of NFL free agency, the New York Giants have ensured that running back Brandon Jacobs isn't going anywhere.
Adam Schefter of NFL Network is reporting that the Giants signed Jacobs to a four-year, $25 million deal. The contract guarantees Jacobs at least $13 million, and the contract is structured so that he'll get paid $15 million in the first two years.
The 6-foot-4, 264-pound Jacobs has rushed for more than 1,000 yards in each of the last two seasons, establishing himself as one of the most powerful ball carriers in the league. At age 26, there's a good chance that Jacobs could remain effective for the duration of the contract, meaning this deal is very good news for Giants fans.

Great deal for both parties.
Don't forget that Jacobs shares his running duties with other backs which makes his stats look even better. Defensive tacklers around the league will now be wondering when their "getting flattened" highlight will be featured on Sportcenter.

FANTASTIC!! Congratulations Brandon you deserve it and most of all kudos to the Giants organization!!! THE FANS SALUTE YOU!!! However, the fans would like you (the organization) not to stop there!! You need to spend a little more to sure up some other key positions ie.: wide receiver, linebacker, another secondary person, and running back. I would look to some of the veterans just recently cut who may be willing to get paid less inorder to play on a contender!! 2 quick names out of Tampa are Dunn(RB) and Brooks(LB)!! Demps in the secondary is not a bad option and of course Housmanzadeh is the man at WR!! Giant fans are confident Reese will do right!! GO BLUE!!!!!
