Free agency starts in a few weeks, and here's what we know: the Cowboys may or may not cut ties with Terrell Owens, and the Ravens may or may not try to re-sign Ray Lewis. In the meantime, T.O. has decided to lobby owner Jerry Jones on Ray-Ray's behalf. Presumably because the team, as it's currently constituted, seems to be devoid of leadership. (And, yes, the fact that Owens is spearheading this effort caused the irony meter to blow up.)
Via the Dallas Morning News' Calvin Watkins:
In the past, Owens told me he's been contact with Lewis, who expressed an interest in playing for the Cowboys. This off-season, Owens reached out to Jerry Jones to make a sales pitch if you will for Lewis to join Dallas. The Ravens say they're willing to pay Lewis to keep him in Baltimore, so maybe this is all moot. But given the current state of the Cowboys -- through the eyes of the players and the coaching staff -- you'd think finding somebody to take control of the team would be a priority. Hey, wait a second...
And Deion Sanders, a close friend of Lewis and Owens, has also spoken to Jones about the linebacker.
Now, we're not sure if Lewis will sign with the Cowboys. The Ravens don't want to lose their icon, so we'll have to see how this plays out once free agency starts Feb. 27 is uncertain.

Yes Terrel...with one criminal (pack man!!)out...time to bring another criminal (Lewis) in. Cowboy's will add to a high-priced bunch of ego-maniacal under-achiever's.

Mr. Lewis please. I would love to see him get in, and Get In Their Face, attitude. When T.O. tries to reve up the team, he's called an instigator, trouble maker. HA, Mr. Lewis will bust them in the mouth. Now that's motivation, Focus, and Inspiration all in one move! Go T.O. Go!!

The Cowboys are turning into the Redskins. Let's go out every off season pick up a bunch of veterans for a lot of money and say we're gonna win the Superbowl. As we've all seen it's worked for neither the Cowboys nor the Redskins. I don't understand what's going on with these guys. I mean look at rookies and sophomores that have shined. Notably Patrick Willis in SF, Desean Jackson in Philly, Joe Flacco in Baltimore, do I need to continue? Jerry Jones is plauging his team just like Al Davis.,,,,,,,

Do you think ray wants to stay with an old broke down team that gets stomped by pittsburgh every year? He wants to go to a team that has a chance to win. Not baltimore!!!!

HAHAHAHA.... a team that has a chance to win??? Yea through November. Last I checked the Ravens were playing in the AFC Championship game, while your quaterback spent December and January with his girlfriend at the Golden Corral.
You're a moron.

"Re re"? Michael Jackson jokes?? Really???
So I gotta ask, are you like 9 years-old? Or does Pittsburgh really just run a decade behind the rest of the country?
Stop wasting everyone's time and go back to jerking-it to your desktop background of Santonio Holmes in the shower.

Would be a big help on the defensive side of the football. Ray working with Wade has a potential to be a force. We'll see I really don't think Ray will be able to do anything in Baltimore. Change is good.

With or without ray lewis, the cowboys still suck! This pathetic excuse of a football team hasnt won a playoff game in over 10 years. Maybe if they would learn how to build a team through the draft, they could win 2 superbowls in 4 years like the greatest franchise in the n.f.l , the Pittsburgh Steelers! Americas Real Team!

snowbrdr9a.....Am I 9 years old? Well if that was the case it makes you look pretty bad thinking Pittsburgh is behind when we are really many superbowls ahead of your city. You really are pushing for attention talking to a 9 year old online. Can you say Pedafile???
