Super Bowl week is just as much about the carnival atmosphere as it is about the actual game. Tuesday is Media Day, which historically means plenty of inane questions, some ridiculous publicity stunts, and a lot of stuff you'd never see during a typical NFL week. Like, say, NFL Network's Deion Sanders getting called out by a smiling Ryan Clark. (Click the photo above for the video, or just go here.)
Apparently Clark didn't appreciate Sanders referring to his AFC Conference Championship game hit on Willis McGahee as "illegal," and he took it up with Mr. Prime Time ... from his Media Day podium.
Sanders pleads his case and manages to get off a couple one-liners in the process.
Clark: "You only talked about me twice all season ... and last week you were like 'illegal? Illegal?'Audacity of hope, indeed.
Prime Time: "I said 'legal' ... That was a great hit -- you put McGahee in the ice cream truck."
Clark: "You know what then? I'm going to have to text my wife and say Deion didn't say that, because we were upset with you."
Prime Time: "Come give me a hug and let's squash this beef right now. You know, Obama is in the office, we got to get along, man. Change is coming. ... And tell your wife don't be giving you false information no more, man."

Some players have talked about putting "bounties" out on certain Pgh Players. The Steelers let their play on the field do their talking for them.

Ryan Clark's hit was big time and legal. Whiners who disagree do not know their football.
