It's evident that Cowboys offensive coordinator Jason Garrett (left) can't get along with anybody named Terrell, no matter the pronunciation. The Terrell Owens Valley Ranch drama is well documented, but following Dallas' demoralizing home loss to Baltimore last December, linebacker Terrell Suggs took his turn at tweaking Garrett, who had passed on the Ravens head coaching job last offseason to remain with the Cowboys.
"It was personal,'' Suggs said. "You know their coach, Jason Garrett, he turned the job down and said one of the reasons was we didn't have men of character. We fed off that... I wonder which team he wishes he was coaching now?''The Dallas Morning News' David Moore wrote at the time that there was no record of Garrett making those comments, but that's sorta not the point. The Ravens were adequately motivated, the Cowboys got blown out at home.
Whatever. Six weeks later, Ravens owner Steve T. Bisciotti* (right) is getting in on the fun. During Baltimore's end-of-season press conference, he was asked how the team would've fared this season had Jason Garrett accepted the job. "We'd be 5-11," Bisciotti joked. Zingers aside, he did seem legitimately perplexed by Garrett's decision to return to Dallas.
"I thought that was an odd situation he was putting himself when he went back, regardless of his success," said Bisciotti ... "This year, I thought that was an odd situation. When I realized that I was competing against him doing nothing, I think it was telling to me. You know, I'm happy where I am. Things happen for a reason."Some twelve months later, I suspect Garrett finds his decision odd, too.
* No idea if Bisciotti's middle initial is "T", but if it isn't, it should be.

Character does not mean talent. He wants guys with passion for the game and improving themselves; guys will personality -- which no one can argue...the cowboys have the most character/personality outta any team in the nfl and always have.

passion for the game? T.o.? Pacman? Tank? Oh yeah, they have passion allright. Character can't be bought. And speaking of character, Garret should have had some and told the truth....he is jerry jones puppet and would rather be the lady in waiting instead of the head guy. We hear in Baltimore thank him for passing us up. We will be just fine.

While it is ridiculous for anyone on the Cowboys to point fingers at any other team's lack of character, the one team that is clearly more degenerate than the cowboys is the Ravens. Maybe the two teams could just play each other until both are decimated and we could move to a 30 team league. Anything to get rid of Jerry Jones and Ray Lewis, two of the NFL's most embarassing characters (and thats saying something).

For all of you who bad mouth Coach Garret's decision, do you want him to ask you for your advise?
We do not know all that entail in his decision. For you to say that, you are smarter than Coach. What was the last team you coach?

The Cowboys lack accountability. I they had it Jones would have fired T.O. and Garrett, then fired himself as GM.

character is a positive trait, no one has character in Dallas, they are "characters" like Donald Duck and Elmer Fudd, but they possess NO CHARACTER, only people I respect on that team is Marion Barber and Demarcus Ware, Ware had a huge year, and you don't hear him running his mouth or crying about contracts.
