Super Bowl Prop Bets are as American as your mother and as addicting as, um, stuff. Will Brinson's got a program for your all-American fix.Now that we've finally waded through the muck (read: the two freaking days when books aren't putting up the prop bets because they're scared of us taking their money), we can get down to business.
And the first business of every Super Bowl betting guide -- the spread and over/under aside -- is the coin flip. Always, always, always take heads. There's nothing really more to say. Just take heads. Probability tells us that there's at least a 50/50 chance of this winning. And those are pretty good odds, my friends. Now, onto some other interesting "50/50" bets. First off, I freaking love the bet this Sportsbook is offering: "Will both teams make a 33-yard or longer field goal?" And, I, astutely, say, hells to the yes. We're talking about, again, two defenses that are better than people think. Add in Jeff Reed -- bleached blond hair or not -- and Neil Rackers, and it seems pretty obvious that we should get at least one chip shot-plus from each team. And the real bonus? Yes it's +145. It's called free money, folks, and that's why they pay me to write at you.
And finally, a totally random one: jersey number. Yes, jersey number, as in: first touchdown scored. It's an over/under and it's set at 38.5. Which means that anyone in the secondary or anyone in the wide receiver corps is going to win for you, if you take the over. Considering the Steelers stuff the run, and that Willie Parker isn't exactly fresh, I'll take my chances. Oh, also, Larry Fitzgerald. (And yes, I'm aware that Santonio Holmes could destroy this easily.)
There you have it though: three quick coin flips that are going to make you money. We'll be here all week, kids.

you know, on a regular coin, due to the extra metal to create the detailed face of the "heads" side its slightly statistically more likely that on a random coin flip it will come up tails? The extra weight acts like butter on toast. Why "tails never fails".
But that only helps you if you know how the coin used looks like and if the heads side has more metal embossing.

The only bet I'm making (already did) is for the cardinals to cover a +7 spread. They stand a good chance to win so the +7 gives some pretty decent breathing room. The Steelers are winding down and AZ is getting all jacked up by the week. Still a +3 would have made me think twice, but +7 looks pretty good and it also seems like a number that might go down, so I didn't wait around to find out.

Both Fitzgerald (#11) and Holmes (#10) would be the "under," right? And Willie Parker (#39) would be an "over." So I'm not sure I understand why you are saying to take the over. I'm taking the under and hoping that Troy Polamalu, Anquan Boldin, of Hines Ward don't score first.
