The Hush-Hush escort service, a former Charlotte prostitution ring, is making waves yet again in the national media. This is because, allegedly, a number of rich gentlemen could be in trouble as more charges were leveled from the 2007 bust.Given the elitist nature of the prostitution ring's clientele, it wouldn't be in the least bit surprising to find out that one or more professional athletes (Bobcats or Panthers) could have their name sullied by this latest revelation. Florio at PFT is alleging just that:
We're told that more names of alleged customers will be released soon, and that the list could include at least one member of the Panthers. Now, it's obviously too early to conclude with certainty anyone on the Carolina Panthers is involved in this bust. On the other hand, it would make sense that authorities give the NFL a heads up and the information subsequently leaks directly to the blogosphere.
The easy way out, for everyone really, is just to assume that Jake Delhomme found out about this information on the morning of his birthday. Note that I'm not alleging it's Delhomme by any stretch, it's just that it would be a much easier way to explain five interceptions in a playoff game.
The good news, of course, for whoever is busted is that there's a max of 60 days in jail and it's only sex. Yes, it's beyond embarrassing, but as long as the person(s) named aren't married, this thing will blow away quickly.

Seriously, are you guys running out of things to write about? Is it a surprise that a member of 60- or 70-man group might be a client of this operation? At least remove this from the Sports section of your "news" and put it in the gossip section.

I have always liked reading what you write, Until now. You just proved what a "writer" and I say that in jest, will do to get readers. As for me, I am done. I will not read any thing you write about anymore...and I do live in SC, and I know about this bust, and I also know they have NOT named any players.

I'm not saying they did. I'm just telling you that it's being reported by "sources". But, okay.

Will, are you a step brother to Ed Werder....this stuff has to stop. It seems like it alway happens during major games. Just stick with the sport and not the lies!!! I guess you are a Philadelphia fan just like Werder or is Werder a Giant fan!

Hey,this is important stuff! I'd put it right up there with the story about Tom Brady's marriage and the pro-gay rant that Tony Dungy isn't perfect. Really, really important SPORTS stories!
What's next...articles about what the players wore to the stadium, and the socio-political upheaval that ensued (if you use big words, you sound more important!)?

Hey, I think the writer of this article (Will Brinson) has a guilty conscience ... how do we know if Mr. Brinson was one of the clients of the HushHush prosititution ring? Is there any comment from Brinson? Does Brinson categorically deny any such invovlement, and even if he does deny, how do we know if he is truthful, or if he is lying?

Just imagine going through lies like this every other week with Ed and his crew. Just lie, after lie, after lie. I'm a Cowboy fan but I don't wish Ed Werder on any team. BTW Ed use to work in Dallas Skip Bayless, Tim Cowlishaw, and Kevin Blackistone. See what happens when you suck up to the Nth degree.

It's been a week now and I have just gained enough desire to watch ESPN after last week's loss(Panthers). If the cats don't go after a veteran free agent QB as well as A Stratford,Sanchez,Harrell in the draft we might as well play the wildcat offense all year. Don't get me wrong Delhomme has been an above average find for many years. However, it's time now with such a powerful combo in the backfield and don't forget Steve Smith to insure better years in the future with drafting a QB. Hell, Brady may be available!! To John Fox... Wouldn't be more fun to sling it 300 plus yards or at least have the threat!! If I were Jake I would apply for a Bojangle's franchise-- but please for all the die hard Panther fans--- Jake take one for the team and LEAVE!!!
