During the fourth quarter of Saturday's Ravens-Titans game, Baltimore quarterback Joe Flacco dropped back to pass in his own end zone and nearly stepped on the end line:
It was very, very close to a safety, and stunningly, the CBS producers didn't bother to show a replay, while the CBS announcers didn't say a word about it. Only much later, after the game, were viewers able to see another replay angle (the second one shown above) that appears to show green grass between Flacco's foot and the end line.
Titans coach Jeff Fisher grumbled after the game that because CBS didn't show a replay, he had no way of knowing if he should have challenged Referee Terry McAulay said, "In my opinion, he did not step on the line. There was green or whatever the color was between the end line and his foot."
Flacco himself had the best reaction. He said, "I almost pulled a Dan Orlovsky." How great that the Lions' 0-16 season provided a new phrase in the football lexicon, "pulling a Dan Orlovsky."
The Orlovsky video, which is still hilarious even if you've seen it 100 times, is below.

Jeff Fisher can grumble all he wants 'cause he should be more concerned about his job than anything else at this point come Monday morning. Can't see both Bud Adams and the season ticket holders tolerating failure any longer. Obviously, and they've been 13-3 before, means very little and have come away with nothing but embarrassment. Tenn. doesn't need another Marty Schottenheimer and that's what this appears to be. Fisher's only excuse is that Tenn. has been an overrated team all along and that also appears to be apparent after watching yesterday's disgraceful loss @ home to a nothing more than a legitimate Balt. playoff contender.

You're joking right? Chris Johnson is the only real playmaker on that offense and he was only able to play a quarter and a half, while glorified scrubs like Lendale White (way overrated) and Alge Crumpler (overrated even when he was in Atlanta) fumbled away the game. Plus, All-Pro center Kevin Mawae not being able to play cost them at least three negative plays (a lot relative to offensive line play).
Their best receiver is Justin Gage for crying out loud, and frickin' Kerry Collins is their QB.
There's a reason few before the season had the Titans pegged as a playoff team, and I don't think anyone saw them going 13-3 team.
I'll take Fisher as the Cowboys' coach any day.

Agree. I think many teams would pick him up in a heartbeat. The only way the loss could be on his shoulders is if he sat Chris Johnson.

Yep I agree let fischer go to the cowboys, at least they wouldn't choke prior to the playoffs, then they would choke in the first round playoffs, that is the only way they or he might be able to play in January. Fischer can wine all he wants, his team (all of them even the scrubs, who are a part of the team) were out coached and played. Whiney little biotches.

CBS' coverage was terrible yesterday. A player would go down and Dierdorf would talk about the violence of the game for a few minutes and never show how the player got hurt, and if they did it was a full series later. FOX was very quick with the replays, a few seconds after any play. I can't believe how bad CBS was yesterday, they better not screw up the Steelers Chargers game today.

Apparently stunned Titans fans, who thought their team would win because they were statistically superior, well-rested, had the home field advantage with a veteran coaching staff and seasoned Quarterback, didn't watch the week before when the Ravens beat a statistically superior Miami team, who had the home field advantage with a veteran coaching staff and seasoned Quarterback. Those who fail to study history are doomed to repeat it. Failing that, the Losers who almost won will look for fouls that almost happened.

CBS sux. Shannon Sharpe, Esiason, Marino and Crackhead Cowher are all retarded. Can anyone understand what Sharpe is saying? Seriously, he needs lip reduction surgery. Someone needs to remind Esiason that he sucked, and still does. Dan ''I'll sell anything'' Marino is a prick. And Cowher looks worse than Tom Hanks in 'Philadelphia.'

Was Fisher really whining? He was asked about the play--is he supposed to feign happiness at CBS's crappy coverage and not showing a replay? I thought the same thing when I was watching the game. No where, unless I missed it, did Fisher say his team lost because of CBS or the officiating.
Other than that, why do some of you insist on being so spiteful in your comments? Hope you two feel better now.

Both teams played well as far as the game goes. When mistakes are made by either team , then it is the other teams responsibility to make them pay for that mistake. Titans made 5 mistakes and it cost them the game. Ravens just out played the titans and made very little mistakes.
