During the second quarter of today's Ravens-Titans divisional playoff game, Baltimore linebacker Ray Lewis delivered a brutal hit to Tennessee fullback Ahmard Hall:
But while Lewis deserves plenty of credit for the hit, Hall deserves even more for picking up the first down, even though he did fumble the ball out of bounds while his helmet went flying. It was third-and-10 from the Titans' 1-yard line, and Hall picking up a first down there was one of the toughest plays of this tough game, which is currently tied 10-10 with four minutes to play.
UPDATE: And yes, I do realize he fumbled the ball. But he fumbled out of bounds, and not until after he got the first down. That's what I was giving him credit for, although obviously my initial headline was wrong.

Once again, Jeff Fischer has failed and should hand in his resignation. The Titans handed Baltimore the game and Fischer should (finally) hand in his resignation. No question about it. He's an overrated coach, coaching an (obviously) overrated team.
Also........Titans FS Chris Hope should be released immediately.
This was a totally disgraceful loss. No question about that either.

I can't stand Gumbel and Dierdorf. They're both blind and half deaf. Dierdorf kept praising Hall for getting the first down and holding onto the ball even though he clearly fumbled and CBS showed the replay at least three times.

The Titans got what they deserved....you have to play well to advance. I am a Steeler fan and will not forget how excited the Titans were when they beat us not long ago. So excited that they stepped on the Terrible Towel to show their disrespect. Too bad they were too ignorant to realize that the proceeds from the Terrible Towel helped to support autism. So glad they lost.....hope they learned something.......

Ron, obviously you're an idiot. Take your meds and s t f u.
The Titans played sloppy, nobody can deny that. The Ravens, as usual, were trying to injure every major player on the Titans team.
It became increasingly obvious in the 2nd half that the officials had no intention of calling the game even remotely fairly. This is perfectly illustrated by the officials not calling Baltimore for Delay of Game after the playclock ran out and let them keep the 10+ yard gain on that play which set Baltimore up for the winning field goal.
Pathetic... Pathetic for the officials and pathetic for the Ravens.

Rick...come on ! How about that call the last time these two teams played and the Titans benefited to the tune of 15 yards and a win over Baltimore on a blown false start/slap to the head call that was clearly wrong. Refs arent perfect (God knows !) and they blow calls. Its part of the game. Sometimes it works in your favor and sometimes not. But the fact is that Baltimore (and Im a Steeler fan) played a more focused game and made the most of their opportunities to score. Tenn didn't. Baltimore is a VERY physical team, and everybody in the league knows and respects that. They play to win and that's cool. I would say if there is any one team we(Pitts) fear, it's Baltimore. Win or lose against them, you come out hurting and there is no doubt that if you do win, you earned it because they hit probably harder than any other team in the league. They punish you and we know from experience. Ask Mendenhall. Ask Big Ben. We know. You guys lost to a good team that made no mistakes in that game and capitalized on every opportunity. Give them their credit, they earned it.

Doubt that any of the Titans will be whining. They didn't deserve to win that game and they know it. However, the obvious bias of the officiating, not to mention Flacco's subtle behavior further proves that the Titans could have played perfectly and they wouldn't have won that game.
Good luck in the playoffs. Maybe the Steelers can make it.

Don't blame the officials for one non-call. If the Titans didn't play like such crap they would not have been in that sitaution. I counted the delay and it was barely. BARELY ove a second. It wasn't THAT big of a deal. And if they were so great than they should not have been in that situation.
And it is also a FACT that the team that turns the ball over the most loses 80+% of the time. Their center played well too. They just didn't have it today.

The only way you can lose a game is to have less points than your opponent. Please do not blame the officials.....sometimes you get the calls - other times you do not.

I keep reading about the ref's.... get over it Titans fans... Ravens constantly get bad calls from the ref's but they suck it up and prevail... blame anyone one you want but the game is over!

Titans lost the game themselves, not the Ravens' play. Ravens will be STOMPED by the Steelers or Chargers. EASILY. they didn't play superbowl worthy either. GO STEELERS (from a Titans fan)

Ron, you're an idiot...fire Jeff Fisher? They have no QB, they have B-Level receivers, and they are VERY good...Baltimore matched them blow for blow, period.

Amen. I don't think Fisher received nearly enough consideration for coach of the year. How many other coaches could have led their team to a #1 seed with the skill players he has? Granted, Tennessee picked a bad time to start committing turnovers but I don't see how that is Fisher's fault.
