Jake Delhomme's best throw of the evening*. Keyshawn = not impressed.
Keyshawn Johnson said, as the Panthers were closing out their season, that he didn't trust Jake Delhomme as a quarterback. Well, after Delhomme's performance tonight against the Cardinals, it's pretty hard to argue that he's wrong.
Delhomme threw five interceptions and fumbled once -- ALL ON HIS FREAKING BIRTHDAY, NO LESS -- and generally stunk up the joint in Carolina. With three minutes remaining (and very few fans left), he's actually being forced to take the field again with the possibility of matching an NFL playoff-record six interceptions 34 years to the day after he was born.
And on his first day as a 34-year-old, you can best believe that he's going to get ripped apart in every single medium available, and especially by Keyshawn on ESPN's Sunday morning program.
Worst of all, though, won't be Key's tough analysis -- it's going to be the many, many questions over the next few months about whether or not Jake is the future at quarterback in Carolina. And there's a pretty good chance that the answer will end up being a resounding "no".
*Seriously. And funny caption courtesy of Kevin Blackistone.

I think Matt Moore showed a lot of promise as a rookie and if he's not automatically promoted, there should at least be a genuine camp competition between Delhomme and Moore.
But I blame the coaching more than Delhomme. Delhomme has looked suspect all season and Carolina has one of the NFL's best running tandems. So hatching this brilliant scheme to try to win through the air on the first playoff game baffles me.

I'm stunned.
But I will no longer be a fan of Carolina until Delhomme is replaced.

I am hurt and embarrassed as a Carolina fan and as a resident of Charlotte. Jake is a back up QB. The people in Charlotte love him but he sucks plain and simple....Somebody please do something.

Jake Delhomme is a solid QB before New Year's. He's a choke artist in January. Plus, he's old. The team needs to go in a different direction.

Old? Dude is 34. He's got 3-4 good years left in him.
I'm not a Panthers fan or one of Jake's fans but every now and then a QB just has an awful day. Peyton Manning threw 6 picks in one game last year. It happens.

Up untill todayI tried to defend Jake, and he helped get us this far,but if he can't play when it counts then he should not play at all.

LETS SEE HERE,
CHOKE CHAD THREW FOUR PICKS,JAKE DELHOMME
A RECORD SIX PICKS,BUT BRETT FAVRE IS THE ONLY ONE WHO SUCKS.I REALLY THOUGHT CAROLINA WAS GOING ALL THE WAY,AND THE TITANS BLEW AN EASY,EASY WIN
BUT FAVRE STILL SUCKS,WAS NOT A GREAT QB,GLAD YOU PEOPLE ARE JUST,AND I MEAN JUST FANS,BECAUSE EVERYONE HAS A RIGHT TO AN OPINION,MY OPINION IS THAT YOURE OPINIONS DONT COUNT,THEREFORE THEY DONT MATTER. ONLY THOSE OF REAL PLAYERS,COACHES AND NFL FILMS WHICH FAVRE OWNS BY DOUBLE ANY OTHER NFL PLAYERS IN HISTORY IN TERMS OF FILMS OF FNTASTIC FEATS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS FOR TOO MANY YEARS ,INTERCEPTIONS MUST BE EVERYTHING .
