You know what they say about what opinions have in common with a certain portion of the human anatomy. In the case of "experts" and their NFL game prognostications, though, it's typically the "expert" that ends up looking like that proverbial body cavity. FanHouse is getting in on the fun with our '08 Playoff Picks. Our first week of picks reveals one thing in that they're a lot like the NFL -- too much mediocrity. Yes, some wise soothsayers were revealed. Will Brinson and MDS went 4-0, while Chris Burke, Stephanie Stradley, and Bruce Ciskie went 3-1 (meanwhile, Ciskie
should have gone 4-0, but he changed one pick so as not to parrot MDS. That's what you get for trying to be your own person, kids: FAIL. If your friends all jump off a bridge, you better be following them).
The rest of us, eh, the best I can say is that there are no Detroit Lions in this group. Let's hope some of the parity shakes out this week.

Giants will win in a low scoring game in very cold weather
Carolina is the obvious winner-but think Arizona will make it close with Carolina winning by a field goal.
Tenn the better team-Ravens defense is very good but think the experienced QB gets it done easily.
Pitts-Chargers-- Am very suspect about Pitt QB's health and like the way Chargers have been playing so this is my upset Chargers win 20-14.
Super Bowl will be Giants-Tenn.... Giants 31-10

There is no way giants will win this matchup. The eagles won 5 out of six coming into sunday with the most dominant defense who can stop the run with two of the best cornerbacks in the league in asante william and sheldon brown, with most powerful safety in brian dawkins. with a quarterback with a mission to prove he still is the best with double offensive threat in westbrook and buchalter, with young deShaun jckson looking for the attention, while giants has a very incomsitent quarterback who may not be able to handle the blitz of the agles 4-3 defense schemes. Jacobs will be shut down and toomer is no match for eagles cornerbacks , so you due the math and you will find the score to be 24 to 13 eagles advance to championship game. God bless the eagles and the fans who bleed grrrn through tough times and great times.

There's gonna be some upset people this weekend, Cardinals are going to win, They played awesome the past 2 weeks and have fully intergrated the running game into the game plan, you get them running and the Pass opens up more and you know they love to throw the ball, they barely lost to them first time they played 27-24 and basically because they didn't run the ball. They will this weekend and torch Carolina, I'm sorry Carolina, I like you but your going down.

Az---You need to put that crack pipe down. #1 they will NOT run on Carolina. #2 Birds will NOT stop Carolina's run game.
#3 Panthers are 8 & 0 @ home----eat your heart out dude.
Panthers 28 Birds 19.
By the way---Don't pull for us in the Super Bowl---we like that mentality.

#1 I can't smoke crack cause you have the pipe #1 We Will run on you, #2 You will loose, #3 you can't stop Fetzgerald or Warner, we should have beat you the first time, look up the stats, become educated. your going down.and I don't have to worry about super bowl, neither team will get that far.

I think it's incredibly ironic that you tell Sheril to "become educated", but then inexplicably mistake the proper word to pick when confronted with "loose" vs. "lose", as well as the improper usage of "your" instead of "you're". What's with the two #1's, by the way?
Education, indeed.

Become educated?---Dude I been refereeing football longer than you been an armchair quarterback. Get off your couch, put your crack pipe down, and smell the Carolina Victory. Even if we don't make the Super Bowl ----12 wins and 4 losses is a record your team will NOT see any time soon. Your division sucks. #1 NO you will NOT run on us # 2 Repeat #1
YOU NEED TO LOOK UP THE STATS!!! Fetzgeral BULLSHIT!!! Who had DOUBLE more rushing yardage in the last game? In the NFL you can't be one dimensional and expect to win the Super Bowl. Go on to bed now----its past your bedtime. Shoulda, woulda, coulda, waaaa waaaa waaa all the way back to AZ---------dud

Believe Chargers might surprise Steelers. Why? Rivera has D playing pretty well, Sproles and Bennett in backfield will fill in just fine for LT, and Chargers QB and WRs are pretty damn good. AZ could--if things go right--cause a problem for Carolina, but they have to balance the offense and play some D. Philly could upset Eli and Co., as could Ravens in Tennessee. Was 3-1 last week and picked SD, AZ, Philly.

Carolina will have there hands full this weekend. I live in AZ and I am a HUGE Panther fan...I am hoping for a good game...Cardinal fans haven't had very much to gloat about so they are huge trash talkers even when they "lose". We'll see what happens tomorrow.
Go Panthers! The true Smash and Dash and Steve!
Win for 51, 58 and Mr. Richardson

I've noticed the only people who are picking the Titans are those with winning records so far....well, except Steph, whose vapid hatred of all things Bud Adams won't allow her to pick the Titans.

I admit to having hatred of the Titans. I would contend my hatred is well-founded, based on experience and not vapid in any way whatsoever. Nothing personal, unless you are somehow related to Bud Adams.
In addition, as someone who has watched both the Ravens and Titans play this season, I think the Ravens defense is better than the Titans. I think their offenses are a wash. I also wonder if the Titans come into this game looking a little rusty. The Titans are the least impressive 13 win team the world has ever seen. It is a testament to the coaching ability of Jeff Fisher. Though they might have had a 14th win had the play calling been better in the Titans road game against the Texans.
So there you go. My vote against the Titans was not due to my hatred for them, it is because I really do think the Ravens are going to win this game. That and a nickle can't buy you Starbucks. My rooting against them will be the hatred part admittedly.

I have been a Cardinal fan for about 30+ years! I don't talk trash. It is called beleiving in your team, having faith. It's the sign of a true fan...never giving up! The Cardinals have an amazing line up and have great potential. If they play like they did the last game against the Falcons, they are going to beat the Panthers. From some of the other post's and predictions I have seen, I'm not talking trash! Go Cardinals

The Cardinals lucky streak has ended. Carolina just has too much firepower.
Giants in a very close one at the Meadowlands.
Tennessee topping Baltimore.
San Diego pulls a big upset over the highly over-hyped Steelers.
