Whether you're the Steelers or the Titans, you have to breathe a little easier seeing Indianapolis knocked out in the first round of the playoffs -- like the Patriots when they have Tom Brady, the Colts with Peyton Manning are just a team you'd rather not face in the playoffs.But as Tennessee and Pittsburgh wait to find out who they'll face in their first playoff games, doesn't it feel like the Titans are getting screwed by how the seedings have set up this year?
If you're ranking the remaining playoff teams in order of who you wouldn't want to face, it's the sixth-seeded Ravens who are the team to most avoid. They've got a great defense, a pretty good offense, and even if you beat them, you know you're going to be battered and bruised and likely without a key player or two the next week.
And after seeing the Darren Sproles-led Chargers show that they have the running game that had been missing for much of the year, the fourth-seeded Chargers have to be the next-least favored visitor especially with all the momentum they have right now.
On the other hand the third-seeded Dolphins are the team everyone is rooting to play -- especially if you can get them out of the warmth of Florida and into a cold-weather game.
Because they are the No. 1 seed, there is no way the Titans can face the Dolphins next week, and if Miami pulls off the upset tomorrow (continuing the trend of home underdogs), Tennessee has to face the Chargers. Neither is a particularly appealing matchup right now.
Of course, you have to beat somebody to mke the Super Bowl, so all of this is just speculation while we wait for next week's games, but right now, it looks like being the No. 2 seed is a better spot to be.

The benefit of beating the hell out of the Steelers at LP Field on Dec. 21, besides stomping on their urine colored towel, comes in the AFC Championship game, when we again get to embarass them at LP Field! Yea, it sux that the Steelers will get a cake walk next week if they have to play the Chargers or Dolphins, but it doesnt matter if it's the Chargers or Raven's next week, the Titans will beat the hell out of them as we did the Steelers and send a reminder of what the Steelers will be getting a replay of!
