Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson said today that head coach Dick Jauron will return in 2009.Despite signing a contract extension during the season, Jauron was on the hot seat because of the Bills' late-season collapse. But Wilson released the following statement today:
"It is well known that I share many of the fans' dissatisfaction with our offensive game management. That being said, I believe that this team, at this time, is better served by continuity in the coaching staff rather than a disruptive overhaul. The team played hard all year long and there are many positives to build on. This is not to say that we will be complacent. In my discussions with Dick and our senior football people the issues are recognized and I am confident they will be addressed."Jauron has gone 7-9 in each of his three seasons in Buffalo.

its easy to see that with moves like this the bills will never be a winner and the fans will stop comming to the games and it will make it easy to move the team out of buffalo/orchard park

This is absurd. I guess that's what happens when your owner really lives in DETROIT, what with the winning culture over there and all.
That Wilson feels 7-9 is "progress" is about on the same page as Jauron's goal of getting a field goal (not a TD) at the end of Sunday's half vs. the Patriots. Mediocrity one and the same.

Does this surprise ANYONE ? Wilson is a cheap skate and only cares about his bottom dollar. I feel sorry for the Buffalo Fans in a way. It is time for them to stand up and take a swing back at the Bills Management. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH . How much more punishment can a city take ? Unless they are gluttons for punishment WAKE UP BUFFALO DO NOT SUPPORT THESE BUMS!

i am a true bills fan in vermont. i go every year there to view a game. the fans are always behind them. not many teams would sell out EVERY game with a poor product. if they ever did move, i'd cancel my sunday ticket, and save alot of money. they will try and put another team in the la market, even though they don't show up. the nfl is all about T.V., not fan support. this is why i would never support another team. i remember going to pats and bills games every year in foxboro, and there would be more bills fans there then pats. not all cities support their teams like bills fans.

Well said Kevin. As a long time Bills fan, this is about as bad as it gets though. If they don't hire a new offensive coordinator next year, I am afraid it will be the same old Bills once again. Keeping Dick Jauron is one thing, keeping Turk is quite another. He is horrible and has no imagination whatsoever.

Ughhh, this is so disappointing. Being a true blue Bills fan, growing up in Buffalo and watching Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas, Bruce Smith go to four SuperBowls etc. it's so annoying to hear the current Buffalo Bills players with their complacent attitude and 100% support of a coach and coaching staff that hasn't done anything for them. Do they think 7-9 is something to be proud of?????? Do they like being considered wasted talent and losers every season? Do they realize how embarrassing the play calling is? My little niece could make better calls then Turk Schonert and EVERYONE in Buffalo knows it! A friend of mine is a Buffalo Jill and she says she can't stand the Bills team because they all have "attitude". Well, guess what................if they don't improve their fans will stop paying good money to watch them and then who is going to pay their salaries - Ralph Wilson? Good luck with that! Hey, coaches and players here is an brilliant idea...............start watching clips fromt he Bills of 1992, 1993, 1994 and learn how to WIN!

I am so tired of the Bills losing each season, and keeping this coach who has no idea what he's doing proves they'll just have another losing season next year. He is by far the worst coach so far. How can you start out 5-1 and end 7-9? Between him and J.P. Losman, they both need to find new careers because they sure are good at losing football games. I'm about ready to switch teams.
