Cowboys haters love to point out that Tony Romo doesn't perform well on the big stage. His signature moment in this regard was the fumbled hold on a field goal attempt that would have beaten the Seattle Seahawks in the 2006 playoffs. For all the wins and successes he has had as a young quarterback, he has nothing to show for it.So it should surprise no one that, as I type this, the Cowboys are down 34-3 to the Philadelphia Eagles. The latest score came off a Romo fumble that was returned by Chris Clemons 73 yards for a touchdown.
Earlier in the game, the Cowboys were driving towards midfield when Romo threw an interception. Philadelphia would capitalize on the turnover by scoring a touchdown and building a 24-3 lead.
This is a virtual playoff game as the winner will face Minnesota next week in the wild card round of the playoffs.
As I type this, Romo is 13-for-24 for 91 yards with no touchdowns and two turnovers.
UPDATE: Thanks to a Marion Barber fumble, the Eagles now lead 41-3
UPDATE II: Romo turns the ball over for the third time. He has the ball stripped as he scrambled for a first down.
UPDATE III: The Cowboys have lost, 44-6. Romo's stat line: 21-of-39 passing, 183 yards passing, 11 yards rushing and three turnovers. Enjoy your winter vacation!

You want to know the worst part earlier this season all the "Self proclaimed" (Americas team-my ASS) Dallas fans came on here after a win talking about being the Superbowl champs this year, belittling other teams with their arrogance and stupidity.
Now they will already be making excuses of how it wa the refs fault or this fault or that fault...............they are so ignorant they can't even tel their asses were jsut whopped and they showed the talent (or lack of) the team has.
But hey you have the Jones' and TO

I agree completely. ALL of the JONES's have contributed to the downfall of what could have been a fairly decent team.

Did anyone check to see if Tony if he booked travel reservations to Cancun for he and Jessica next week? Maybe Jessica told Tony her publicist had made those reservations before the game!? Who knows!?
This we all know: Tony Romo has done absolutely nothing since he got involved with Jessica Simpson. Hey Tony, the Bible does say that if a man marries a woman who has been divorced and her ex-husband is still alive, he's committing adultry!!! (Why would a rich single, never-been-married guy like yourself want to have anybody's ex-wife!?)
I guess Nick Lachey needs to keep an eye peeled over his shoulder 'cause it looks like Romo is in love with Jessica!!! Sorry Cowboy fans!!! God won't bless sin!!! I know that for a fact; I found out first hand!

Tony Romo sucks! All that money he's getting paid and for what? To stand out on the field smiling when your team is getting blown out? That's nothing to smile about.

to have a team that has that much talent ,you would think they would be contenders.from what i have seen ,there is to much for me from players and not for the team. jerry jones needs to treat them like men and set them straight .it is either you produce on the field ,or there is someone who will. i have been a dallas fan for over thirty years and i am ashamed of them and their mouth and play

Romo is a fraud and Wade needs to be fired on the sideline and given a bus ticket back to Dallas. What this team needs is a starting QB and a coach like Bill Cower to instill some motivation and discipline into this team!

Well, the game has just ended and I will be the first on this blog to say thank you Eagles for making what I have seen starting the end of last season, the great demise of a possibly great team. My mom called me earlier this year when she was in the Cowboy's store and asked me if I wanted a jersey. I said, "There is nobody that is good enough to buy one let alone wear with pride. It will end up hanging in the closet." I asked for some hats. Can't wear that with pride as well. The truth is, Jerry did everything short of trying to buy a superbowl. And, the biggest problem(s) was not addressed......Suggestion to Jerry, keep Garrett as OC and find a head coach and assistant head coach that will run a VERY tight ship but also accepts innovation. Perhaps a good college coach, Cowher maybe, or even a Pats coach. This team does not have the discipline to handle tough games and situations. Plus, they always seem to put themselves in these situations. I have spent a lot of time watching and commenting on the games, but Phillips and Garrett, a tactic for quieting the opposing teams crowd is not getting pummeled into pity. I will be cheering for my second favorite team, Tennesse Titans. I love that coach. Miami is in the playoffs and the Pats ended up with 11-5 why?? Its time to lite some fires!!!... an omni-meaning metaphor.

Hey Jerry you need to get the hell out of Dallas and take your convicts and cry babies with you. It is quite obvious that the Cowboys had more talent on the field than any other team in the NFL this year and have a coach that is capable enough to win a Superbowl for the fans. Jerry you need to let the coach's do their job. You are not smart enough coach a football team team and worry about your money at the same. I get a feeling that you and your cousin Carl Peterson went to the same school!. Hopefully between now and the preseason you will figure out. Jerry do all of us Cowboy fans a huge favor and stay off field, get the structure back and give Owens and the rest of your convicts a chair next to you in your new penthouse next season.

Sometimes things don't go the way you plan.... As a true fan of The Dallas Cowboys I congratulate the Philedelphia Eagles for well needed win to make the playoffs.... Very disappointing loss missing the playoffs in the last game of the season... I want to say this to the Cowboy haters out there we have no excuses for what happened today.... Only to say I expect an effort to do better.... Good luck to all the playoff teams...

The Cowboys are hated because they are the most successful franchise of the Super Bowl era. When they abolish the cap, they'll be the Yankees of the NFL
