As if the Chicago Bears needed an extra boost of motivation for tonight's rivalry game against the Green Bay Packers. It's been provided anyway, courtesy of former unproductive Bears' wide receiver, Bobby Wade, who is currently a Vikings wideout. "We need the Bears to blow it,'' Wade told reporters in Minneapolis with a laugh. ``Where are they playing, at home? Great. They'll definitely blow it.''I don't know what's so funny. The Bears beat the Vikings 48-41 earlier this year in Chicago, and the Vikings blew the opportunity to control their own fate this week by losing to the Falcons at home. In fact, if you wanna talk about blowing it, the Vikings fumbled the ball seven times and lost four of them. This translated into a loss despite significantly outgaining Atlanta and winning the time of possession battle. If the Vikings didn't blow that game, the Bears wouldn't even presently matter to them.
Maybe Wade's laughing about how he's never mattered in the NFL, or that casual fans wouldn't recognize the difference between him and a used car salesman?
I kid, of course. He's coming off a career year in 2007, so I should leave him alone. You know, 54 catches for 647 yards and three touchdowns. Man, he was a beast. No wonder he's running his mouth.
As for the game tonight, there is just too much going for the Bears for me to even think they can lose. I know I'm biased, but they:
1) Need this game to stay alive for the playoffs. The Packers don't.
2) Are playing at home.
3) Have revenge on their mind after being embarrassed in Lambeau.
4) Have had 11 days of rest and preparation since their last game.
5) Are the better team.
6) Have been practicing outside, unlike the Packers.
Just for fun, I'll throw out a prediction.
Bears win 31-17. Devin Hester shakes free for an early long touchdown and this time Kyle Orton doesn't badly over-or-under-throw him.

Everything about that comment I've read said he made the comment in jest, laughing how the Vikings blew their chance and have to hold it to the Bears to lose tonight for any chance this week of clinching. No where have I read that he said it seriously.
Where are your sources?

Really? That's it? Just asked where he got his sources from. I found different stuff. And you pull the tired, old "Vi-Queen" bit?
Ugh. Bears fans. No offense to the intelligent ones out there, but I have yet to find any of you. MS isn't even that great. The Vikings STILL control their own destiny, so it's not a big deal anyway. Magic number is still one.

If it's true that he was being sarcastic, I think Vikings fans should be pretty aggravated instead of defending him. You think it's funny that you should have clinched by now instead of coughing it up?
Just think if the Panthers actually closed the deal last night. The Giants would definitely want some momentum heading into the playoffs and would have played hard in Week 17. Not to mention the fact that had the Giants ended up losing you would have really shot yourself in the foot considering two wins and two Giants losses would have given the Vikes the 2-seed and a bye. Instead, they are in a must-win situation with one game to go.
So yeah, you can spew the unfounded over-generalization that all Bears fans are stupid. That's your right. My thoughts? You should be a little aggravated at your mediocre WR3 for laughing at his team's wasting of a golden opportunity ... or for giving the Bears an extra push towards motivation -- whichever one it was.
Either way, it was stupid. Can't you admit that?

Bobby, I love you boo. But come on, you routinely blew it during your tenure in the Windy City. If you couldn't make it as a receiver there, you might as well come home and bake me some cookies.

PS - I have been shooting down claims that you're a switch hitter all month.

While there are rampant rumors swirling about BW playing for both sides, I don't think it's true.

Coaching really had nothing to do with fumbling seven times. While coaching has been suspect, it's gotten much better the past few weeks. Putting the ball on the ground? Not so much.

Ugh. I like how instead of coming on here and making intelligent responses on how Bobby Wade has yet again made himself look like a fool, people decide to make stupid jokes like Chester "Failer" and remarks regarding BW's sexuality. Who cares? The fact of the matter is that the ViKINGS (god that queens bit gets old after hearing it 50,000 times a day on Mondays) still have a very realistic chance at a post-season. Whether or not it's going to be a long one is irrelevant at this point in time. In the mean-time I'd really appreciate it if those of you with an I.Q. that resembles that of the Lions W-L average would go back to beating your wives and stop making dumbass comments.

I just wanted to thank Charles Tillman for retaliating against the Bucs. It cost the Bears the game. I'd also like to thank Lovie Smith for deciding to squib kick against Atlanta. It cost the Bears the game. I'd also like to thank the Bears defense for numerous bonehead penalties against the Panthers. It cost the Bears the game. I realize hindsight is 20/20, but if the Bears were to win those games, my beloved Viqueens wouldn't be in position to take the division and I would have to retire my purple thong until next season.

Yeah, I posted similar sentiments -- though I'm from the Bears fan point of view -- here:

Oh my, look at all duh berass fans coming out of the woodworks.
Fact: Bears suck azz, any team who has the honor of their best QB ever to be Mr. "Large-Sunglasses-Are-The-Sh1t!" McMahon should just move on to the nearest all you can eat buffet where the majority of their fans sit gorging themselves on sheperds pie and brats. Chico has been a joke for years, aside from the fluke Superbowl (way to choke btw, you made Black n Blue division proud with that debacle), what have they accomplished? I'll give them a slight nod at having the 2nd best defense in the NFC North at least, but only just barely ahead of 3 and 4.
