Remember at the beginning of the season when we were all convinced that the Cowboys were the best team in the NFL? Remember when we all were wondering if this was they year they would put it together in the playoffs (not to mention the naysayers saying they'd blow it again)? That team may not get into the postseason. The Baltimore Ravens went into Texas Stadium and beat the Cowboys, 33-24.
The loss damages Dallas' playoff hopes, but it isn't a death knell. Now they need to win next week in Philadelphia and have Tampa Bay or Atlanta lose one more time, which is a realistic possibility. Still, the Cowboys cannot feel good about themselves after their pitiful performance last night.
You had Tony Romo slinging bombs that were picked off by the typically rabid Ravens secondary. I mean, he does know that Ed Reed is lurking out there, right? There was also a confusing option call on a 3rd-and-1 deep in Baltimore territory. They were fooled on a fake field goal. And it was yet another penalty-filled game by Dallas.
However, the most gut-wrenching moments came late via a defense that allowed two huge touchdown runs that stomped out the comeback fire. Right after a Terrell Owens touchdown grab got the Cowboys within two points, the defense watched Willis McGahee run straight up the middle for a 77-yard score. Then after Dallas got it to two points again, Le'Ron McClain popped off an 82-yard TD run. Both runs were aided by poor tackling.
Dallas' loss just lent credence to those naysayers' predictions that they just cannot get the job done in crunch time. Since 2002, the Cowboys are just 11-21 in December and January.
Give the Ravens a ton of credit: they are legit. This team is now 10-5 and is playing its best football. If not for the controversial loss to Pittsburgh last week, they'd be looking at a first round bye right now. Still, they are a win over the Jaguars away from locking in a playoff berth.

Scumbag organization? Really? Do I need to reminder you that no matter how bad or good the Cowboys are they are still the most visible, most popular, rich in history, sell the most merchandise in all of football. Also our fans are one of the greatest out there. We don't need a jail or we don't throw snowballs at the opposing teams or santa. Please stop your hatred with the cowboys. They must've been beating on your team some time ago to hate them that much. Jerry Jones may irritate most of us but I give him lots of credit he brought 3 trophies since he took over and he's a heck of a business man. People say he can't buyu championships well he brought 3 didn't he? Plus every owner tries to buy the best player because that's what teams do you idiot.

Need a win in Phila? Bring 'em on. We'll crush their over-rated hopes and humiliate TO in the process. They'll think they're playing the Phila Vultures. (Cowboys, get ready for another Jerry Jones tirade)

The reason for the two long runs the Ravens had was laying on the ground looking like the washed up player he is. The person I am talking about is Zack Thomas.

Wade Phillips is supposed to be a defensive genius. He looked like a defensive idiot. Fire him and Cowboys defensive coordinator now and go to Philidelphia with Jason Garrett as head coach. Don't waste time doing what should be done now. Cowboys should start looking for a QB in the draft instead of a receiver, one who may have less experience but won't choke in the clutch and doesn't take 3 quarters to warm up. How long does Romo need to mature...isn't going to happen folks.

Jerry Jones needs to fire Jason Garrett because his play calling are just aweful secondly they need to draft a QB. I'm so sick of Romo always chocking when it count the most. Jerry we need a west coast offense to properly utilize our players please!!!!!

Kudos and much praise has to go to Derrik Mason for the brilliant plays he has made all year for the Ravens. Against the Cowboys on one drive he ended up scoring a touchdown, one of 3 plays he made on the drive to sustain the drive.....and practically doing it with just one arm.
Todd Heap needs to follow his example and start coming up with some more plays....especially catching the ball more often...to take some of the load off of Mason.

Never have been and never will be the highest selling NFL merchandise franchise.
Don't need a jail? Look at the crap Jones brought to your "Disgrace to the NFL" team.
It smells like sheep sh*t in Dallas. And deserving so.

thatsabsurd, i am sick and tired of shit eating and shit talking assholes like you and the rest of these inbred jerks showing the lack of class you claim dallas possesses. first of all, shit for brains, it was not dallas that gave itself the tag "america's team", it was the folks at nfl films, but if the shoe fits, wear it, right? the green-eyed monster rears it's ugly head because no other sports franchise comes close in name recognition in and outside of the united states. yeah, they had a crappy season, but you still can't deny the success the cowboys have had. so all you dumb asses keep talking your trash. dallas is still the most successful franchise in nfl history and your team (whichever it is) is not! you can all go screw yourselves - we cowboy fans don't really give a rat's ass what you think or have to say.

".................we cowboy fans don't really give a rat's ass what you think or have to say."
Really? Then if you don't give a sh*t what we have to say why respond?
Another scumbag response from a fan of the self-proclaimed scumbag organization.
And the media didn't give you the title it was self-proclaimed and bought
And Dallas success is only a second to some real class organizations who first achieved and gallantly won them. Dallas is a wanna-be scumbag organization.
More of a circus than an NFL team and the drama TV show Dallas was at least a better drama event than your current drama queen organization of today. Another effort to gain headlines because the playing ability and results deserve no headlines.
Is that sheep shit I smell?
