It's probably hard for any Cowboys' fan to believe it right now, but Dallas still has a shot to make the playoffs. The Ravens' win is great news for the Eagles, who now can come back from the dead to earn a playoffs spot if they beat the Redskins this week, the Cowboys next week and get a loss by either the Bucs or Falcons in either of their final two games. But even in the midst of another December collapse, Dallas is assured of a spot in the playoffs if they beat the Eagles next week and the Bucs lose to either Chargers (possible) or the Raiders (not bloody likely). Dallas beat Tampa Bay head-to-head so they would win any tiebreaker.
But even if Tampa Bay goes 2-0, the Cowboys still have shot at the playoffs with a win next week combined with a Falcons' loss to either the Vikings this week (highly possible) or the Rams (not a chance in hell). The Falcons and Cowboys are likely to fall to the strength of victory tiebreaker, which means the winner of the playoff spot would be determined by the win-loss records of the teams they beat. Dallas currently holds a three-win advantage in strength of victory with a lot of games to play.
Dallas now needs a lot of help, and they can only blame themselves, since a win over either the Steelers or Ravens in the last three weeks would have basically locked up a playoff spot. The collapse pretty much ensures that the last memory of Dallas Stadium will be Le'Ron McClain's 82-yard run, but it doesn't yet mean that Dallas will be sitting out of the playoffs this January.

STICK A FORK IN 'EM!!
THE COWBOYS WITH ALL OF THEIR BIG-BUCK PLAYERS ARE JUST ANOTHER MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT THIS SEASON!!
THEY SUCK!! THEY SHOULD GET RID OF THAT LOCKER ROOM "CANCER" TERRELL OWENS!! HE'S DROPPED MORE "EASY BALLS" THIS SEASON THAN AT ANY OTHER TIME IN HIS CAREER. AND IF WHAT HE SAYS, "THE LUCK OF THIS TEAM GOES AS MY PERFORMANCE GOES", THEN HE NEEDS TO EITHER STEP IT UP, OR RETIRE!!!
HE'S ALWAYS BEEN A WHINER, AND HAS DESTROYED THE CHEMISTRY OF EVERY TEAM THAT HE'S PLAYER FOR!!
BYE BYE TERRELL, BYE BYE 'BOYS!!!

Please bear with me. I had a little to drink since I had to track down a bar that was showing this f-ed up game. Now, I always try to comment on every game to see if any other sees the same things as me. However, for last week's game I was unable to since my job took me away from any such sort of opportunity. What it comes down today, and as usual, is that the Cowboys offense have once again killed their defense and given away the game. And..., it started from the 1st quarter.
Take a notice all of you unrealistic, emotion-led, optimistic, "cheerleaders". I have always posted that those big pass plays have been the offense's main problem and will not allow you to win tough games. These dumb FKS would rather go big instead of starting from the bottom up. And, it is especially ignorant in these dire times. What I am saying is, DINK, DUNK, ON THE LINE AND SHORT PASSES TO A VARIETY OF RECEIVERS, SCREEN PLAYS, ROLL-OUTS, AND ETC. Then..., maybe when you are past the 50yd. line, try for some meduim to longer passes to TO, RW, JW, Bennet, Austin, Crayton, Choice, and etc. WTF!!! I will say this again, a smart man will make a dollar out of 15 cents. These FAKS are the perfect example of "lose money". Don't you love how the Ravens and Steelers win with old-fashioned ball controlling smash mouth offense and defense. The Cowboys can win every game, that is, if the offense doesn't give it away to everybody. Oh yeah, by the way, loved those deep passes Romo/Garrett. Maybe next year look for a good back-up QB and reduce the pay for Garret, Romo, and Phillips. Don't worry about Garrett going anywhere, look at Sean Peyton. Garrett can't even get his offense together let alone an entire team. Well, I bet that the Cowboys offense is praying that they sneak in the back door, kinda like their usual last quarter runs and deep passes. Low probability and percentages. All coaches and QB's should have degrees in logic.

In my last posting, "Well, I bet that the Cowboys offense is praying that they sneak in the back door, kinda like their usual last quarter runs and deep passes," did not mean that the last quarter runs literally was bad, I think that running in the last quarter is good. Especially if up a few points. I meant that the Cowboys only seem to get it together in the last minutes of the game. 3 quarter went by and no offensive points. WTF!! When they lose games it is usually because they hung too much on to the defense and running game.

Well I'm a panthers fan but I'm actually pulling for the Bucs and Falcons these final two weeks since everyone wants to love up on the NFC East so much. Let's go guys, here's to hoping for an NFC South sweep of the Wild Card spots!!!

One of the great pleasures in life is watching the Cows sink again. Self-annointing oneself "America's team" has always been an annoyance to most of the country, though perhaps good pr. But that's all its been ... public relations with a dash or unmitigated arrogance. In fact, the Cows are and have been for quite awhile a mediocre team laced with dysfunctional players who, out in the real world, would be in jail, on probation or in psychiatric counselling. The media, of course, seems to always buy into things here, but if one looks at the record, what you find is a run-of-the mill QB whose claim to fame is the bimbo he beds, a delinquent "Packman", a dysfunctional TO who acts as a cancer everywhere he plants his ego ... and a worthy defense that gets scant attention owing to the media's fixation on Romo, TO, et al. As for the playoffs, one can only say goodriddance to not having to read the media hype anymore.

I've been a Cowboys fan forever, unfortunately I think they are guilty of reading their press clippings this year and did not put out full effort, every play.
