The NFL announced on Tuesday that Jones has been suspended without pay for the final three games of the 2008 season, for violating the league's substance abuse policy.The suspension stems from Jones' arrest this summer, who somehow managed to not shoot himself in the leg through it all.
The fourth-year wide receiver leads the Jaguars with 65 pass receptions for 761 yards and two touchdowns. He is 16th in the NFL in receptions and 29th in yards receiving.

I BELEIVE IN DUE PROCESS BUT PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME WHAT TOOK THE LEAGUE SO LONG IN HANDING DOWN A PUNISHMENT THIS HA TO BE EXPLAIN WHY HE WAS ABLE TO ET AS MANY PAYCHECKS AS HAS NOW HE ONLY LOSE 3 PAYCHECKS AND ABLE FOR POST SEASON PLAY NOT TO MNTION THE MENTAL HELP HE MAY HAVE NEEDED OR MADE TO GET THE HELP

The only reason why the league is reacting to this now is because of Plaxico Burress. How can you suspend Plaxico and Matt Jones. Don't you hate it when the actions of one causes people to focus on your errors. Question # 2, How come his drug test never showed a trace of cocaine (HMMMMMM)???
